"How do you even do this?" I panted out, lightheaded from being upside down so long.
"Youth!" Lee, Metal, and Guy all yelled together.
The four of us were in a row of handstands, pushing up and down to start our daily training off. Well, what they considered training. This is flat-out torture.
"Yeah, yeah, your spirit and whatever," I sighed out, falling to the ground as sweat decorated my face. "I surrender."
"Metal!" Lee spoke up immediately, looking over at his son. "Run around the village fifty times while carrying y/n! This will show your true youth!" Lee yelled with encouragement, and I sat up, confusion settling over my features.
"Huh?"
"Understood!" Metal turned towards me with a smile. "You ready?"
I raised a brow, having missed the entire conversation as black dots flooded my vision on and off. "Ready for what?"
"This of course!" I was effortlessly picked up from the ground bridal style, metals arms wrapped around me tightly. "Off we go!"
"Huh?!" I looked around as the world suddenly started to pass me faster than it had been. Was he really running this fast with me in his arms?! "Metal you absolute beast!"
I complimented the kid, knowing he worked hard to get where he was with fighting and strength. Though I could see we were on the private back roads so people wouldn't spot him running.
Still gotta work on that I see.
"So, wanna start small talk, or do you need to focus?" I questioned, not knowing what to do because I'd never been carried around like this before.
"We can talk, this is nothing for me," Metal smile, and I return it, getting a little too giddy over the fact that he could pick me up so easily.
"Why have you been practicing so much harder these past few months compared to what you'd been doing before the Aacademy?"
Metal hesitates a bit in his running but keeps pace, finding his rhythm once more. "There's someone I... want to impress."
I nod, feeling my mood dimmer only slightly. I wouldn't let something like that hurt me too bad, I knew I wasn't someone like Metals type.
"Who's the lucky girl?" This time Metal does stop running, my body still sitting in his arms easily.
"It doesn't matter, she wouldn't like me back anyway," Metal laughs a little, his tone sad.
"Don't say that about yourself Metal; you're a great guy," I rest my hand on his cheek, trying to comfort him since it was my questions that ruined his mood. "Well... In that case—"
Metal looked away from me, his cheeks rosy. "What is it? Don't tell me it's my sister..."
He shakes his head quickly, setting me down on the ground. "No! No! It's nothing like that! I swear it!"
His hands rest on my shoulders, keeping me in place. "Well that was the worst I could think of, so there's no way you can say anything that'll make me regret asking."
He takes a deep breath, looking me dead in the eyes. "You promise?"
I nod, confident in my own words.
"It's... you. I want to impress you, y/n Uchiha."
My mouth gapes, sucking on air like a fish out of water. "Me? Are you sure? Am I that lucky?"
Metals cheeks get redder and my legs go numb, letting me fall into his chest; which was a lot more solid than I was comfortable with a thirteen-year-old having.
"Pinch me..."
"y/n, are you going to sleep? y/n wake-up! I have to finish my laps so I can officially call you mine!"
You chose Metal as your boyfriend!
This path's outcome...
Sasuke: Fuck. No. He still holds a grudge against Lee.
Lee: Crying youthful tears with Guy cause the closest he'll ever get with Sakura is through their kids dating.
Sarada: kind of secretly loves how innocent Metal is compared to you.
Class: shocked Metal could get you and not them.
y/n's Overall Life
y/n does stay in the village, too fearful of what Metal was willing to do if she ever did leave. However, the thoughts always on her mind when she goes out of the gates, which is the reason behind her early retirement.
Team Seven sticks together until they're in their late teens, going off to find their own bigger paths, obviously they keep in touch. The group was just too old to be in a squad as Chunin and Jonin.
Metal loves to include you in his daily exercise, whether it be taking a run with you or trying to help you perform the workouts he usually does, in smaller portions of course.
Sakura often laughs at the irony of how Lee's son and her daughter got together, after everything the two of them had gone through not only in the Chunin Exams but their entire ninja lives.
y/n retires early from the dangerous life of being a ninja so she can instead SCHOOL SOME KIDS! That's right, it's Ms. Uchiha now. Or Mrs. Lee.
Metal Lee does propose to y/n and she accepts it faster than he can finish the proposal, getting married months later with everyone there. Nothing to special except Metal did it while staying in a handstand position.
Lee and y/n adopt a daughter and a son, teaching them the ways of the Shinobi while also the ways of humility and peace.
y/n dies rather early in life at sixty, a heart attack being the thing to get her which was irritating to everyone she knew because the woman had been through so much yet something so normal took her down.
Daughter: The young girl was attached to Metal at the hip, going out with him whenever he worked out. In the end, she became a strong leader, using what her parents taught her to fight on the frontlines as a ninja.
Son: The boy was a wildcard, some days being quiet while others he was bouncing off the walls. Metal always enjoyed the spunk their son had, helping the kid to use it in exercise and enjoyable activity.
y/n just laughed at the sights whenever she got home, loving how hands-on Metal was with them since he was a stay-at-home dad. She tried to be around a much as possible though, knowing what happens when you're an absent parent in a kid's life.
