[Kagura]

"y/n! y/n!" I was dragged from my bedroom by Sarada, still half asleep as she dragged me.

"What? Sarada what?!" The more I woke up the angrier I got as she yanked me around, even going so far as to hit my head off a wall.

I smack her hand away, standing up to dust myself off. The house may be clean but to track my nice clothes across the ground is just wrong. "Don't drag me around dammit."

"Kagura's visiting The Leaf, and he said he wants to talk to you," The girl's words don't mean anything to my sleep-fuzzed brain and I stumble to the front door, walking into something stiff.

I feel the chest with my hand, moving it up to a face. I run my fingers over the eyebrows, and smirk knowingly. "Good morning, Kagura."

His familiar laugh reaches my ears as he lets me touch all over his face without complaint. "Hi, is there a reason you're caressing my eyebrows?"

I shake my head, taking my hand away from him completely. "It's a form of identification to my tired brain."

He nods, taking my palms into his as if it brought him some sense of comfort. "Well, um... you know why I'm here, right?"

I shake my head, taking one of my hands to scratch my head with a yawn. "No; not a clue. Have you visited Boruto yet? Did he send you here?"

Kagura let out an awkward chuckle, looking to the side. "It's been a while since you've seen me. It's only fair you forgot about the note."

At that word my eyes widen. "You're here about that? I still have it in my room if you need it," I turn back around to go find the paper but he spins me back around, keeping me in place.

"No, y/n. I don't need the note I gave you," He sighs with a weak smile, resting his head down onto my forehead. "I wanted to talk about what's in the note."

I'm afraid to move my head, so instead, I speak. "Can you wield the sword like a true ninja? Not with the intent to harm but with the drive to protect?"

When he realizes I've remembered what he wrote and what I've said previously he wraps his arms around me in a hug, moving his head from my forehead to my shoulder.

"I did it for you, so I could come here— and express how I feel!"

Even though he can't look me in the eyes I smile, wrapping my arms back around him. "Okay; I'm waiting."

He steps back, looking down at his feet as he speaks. "y/n, I've worked my hardest during our time apart to become a swordsman your proud of. I'm here today to say that I have become the best swordsman I can be, and I would love it if you— if you would be my girlfriend!"

His last few words are blurted out as he bows nearly ninety degrees, making me chuckle stiffly while trying to get him up. My neighbors were looking.

"Kagura, stand up. They think I'm abusing you," He listens to me, looking around to see all the stares.

"Is this not a normal proposal in Konoha?" I shake my head, hand smacking my forehead.

"No, Kagura. No, it isn't."

"So... You answer is a no then?" He questions, looking at me with a sad expression.

I shake my head, planting a kiss to his cheek aggressively.  "Of course it's a yes you idiot! I've been waiting to see you for forever!"

His body physically relaxes in my embrace with a sigh of relief. "Thank god, I thought I'd come all this way for nothing. I mean, visiting Boruto is gonna be nice and all but—"

I put my finger to his lip, effectively shutting him up. "As long as you swear to me that you're a rightful ninja, worthy of wielding large amounts of power, I'm okay."

y/n's Overall Life

After dating Kagura for two years y/n decided to move to the Mist, becoming a villager in the very place she despised. Because of that, Kagura made sure to keep her on certain sides of the village, and was from the landmarks that brought her pain.

Of course, y/n didn't leave the Leaf until her time on Team Seven was up, which was when she became a Jonin and decided to branch off. Her life as a ninja was what she liked to describe as a once in a lifetime experience that she couldn't tell anyone of.

Kagura enjoyed going to do simple things with y/n, like visiting the markets to shop for groceries and walking along the beach to enjoy the water and sunset. Wherever she was, Kagura was happy and content.

y/n got invested in making the villagers aware she wasn't a threat unless they provoked her, giving food to her neighbors every so often while also helping the store owners below her to clean.

Luckily the Mizukage took a recommendation from Naruto and made y/n his assistant almost instantly, putting her many skills to work as not only a protector but an organizer. She also enjoyed being able to visit the Leaf during the Kage Summit.

Kagura does end up proposing to y/n... four times. He was too persistent for y/n to say no, and they later got married on the water. Literally, they were standing on the water.

The two of them have one son together, which Kagura still claims is the child of demons after seeing the kid's sword skills before even being trained.

y/n lives a comfortable life inside of the village's walls, taking yearly trips with her family to the Leaf so she can see everyone. She dies peacefully before Kagura at seventy, leaving him and their son to themselves as she watches over them happily.

The couple's son was scary to many, mastering swordsmanship at a young age before later unlocking the Sharingan and revealing his ability with both water and fire Jutsu. He flew through the academy, and before long was off to travel the world much like Sasuke had. Seeing the many places of the world like The Leaf, The Sand, and famous landmarks.
