I woke up to the sound of someone whimpering. Rubbing my eyes, I looked at Ivy who was mumbling things while her eyes were closed.
She was having a nightmare.
Sweat was dripping of her forehead as she was turning her head from left to right, her body shaking with what I assumed was fear.
"Ivy?" I gently shook her awake. Her eyes shot open and she sat up straight. She glanced around the room before letting out a relieved sigh, burying her face in her hands. I placed a hand on her shoulder before pulling her to me. She placed her head on my chest and hugged me while I drew circles on her bare back with my finger in attempt to comfort her.
After a long moment of silence, I asked, "are you okay?"
She hummed, nodding her head, "fine."
"You wanna talk about it?"
"I'm not ready... I'm sorry." She muttered, looking up at me. I instantly shook my head, "hey, it's okay. You don't have to be sorry for anything."
She flashed me a weak smile before placing her head back on my chest. She snuggled closer and relaxed as did I. I then closed my eyes and felt myself drifting to sleep.
It was around four in the afternoon when I woke up. Ivy was soundly asleep with my arms around her. Not wanting to wake her up, I softly placed her aside and stood up from the bed. After taking a bath, I went downstairs to the kitchen.

I slowly opened my eyes, my hand instinctively patted the place where Ace was supposed to be. A frown found it's way onto my face. I threw the blanket off me before sliding on a shirt. Then I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and took a shower. I walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me then went over to the cupboard. Opening it, I took out one of what I assumed was Ace's shirt and slid it on. I also grabbed a boxer. Luckily for me, the shirt was long enough to cover until my thighs.
I then went downstairs where I saw Ace standing, his back facing me as he faced the stove. As if sensing my presence,he turned around, glanced at me for a second before looking back at the stove. "Good morning."
"Morning," I sat on a chair, staring at his back, "what are you doing?"
"Making breakfast for us." He replied, "pancakes, precisely."
"I can help." I stood up only to see him shake his head, "no. You must still be sore from last night." His tone was taunting, "I wasn't easy on you."
"Fuck you." I mumbled earning a chuckle from him before he said, "you already did that."
"Fuck off. How about that?"
"Rude." He muttered, grabbing a plate from the plate holder before placing a pancake on it. He then walked towards me and put the plate in front of me, "go on. Tell me how you find it."
"Okay." I took a fork and had a bite of the pancake. My eyes slightly widened at the delicious taste as I looked up at Ace and found him grinning ear to ear as he spoke, "it's delicious, isn't it? It has to be. I'm the one who made it."
I rolled my eyes, swallowing the compliment I was about to give him.
"You could've done better." I said, nodding my head and internally smirked when his grin turned into a frown, "the hell is that supposed to mean? You don't like it?"
"Not really." I shook my head, "I mean, I've eaten better."
"That's fucking Impossible." He said with a scoff, "my pancakes are like the best pancakes in the world. You could'nt have tasted better."
"Chill...I was just kidding." I rolled my eyes, "I didn't want to boost your ego."
"Fuck you."
"You already did that." I said with a smirk which however turned into a frown when he smirked also, "and I wouldn't mind doing it again."
Well, to be honest, I wouldn't mind that either.
"I—" I was cut off by the sound of my ringtone. Glancing at my screen, I saw Mason's name popping up."Hey, what's up?" I asked as soon as I answered the call. Instead of receiving a proper response, I received scoldings from a very frustrated Mason.
"What's up? What's up?" He repeated, "are you for real? Ivy fucking Reed, gone for six hours with no messaged and no missed calls. Where the hell are you? And where the fuck is Ace? I haven't been able to reach either of you. Oh my god, hold on a mother fucking second, are you two together right now? Fucking hell!"
I saw Ace rolling his eyes at Mason's voice which was really loud.
"Hold on your horses. I'm not with Ace. Where did you get that crazy idea from?" I asked. I heard him let out a relieved sigh on the other side before saying, "thank god. Where are you? Mom, dad and myself have been so worried, Ivy!"
"I'm in a park, drawing." I replied to which he asked, "need me to pick you up?"
"No, I'll walk." I replied, "And relax, I'm fine. I'll be back in around an hour."
"Fine." He mumbled, "I'm going to call Ace again. God knows where this guy is. Take care, baby sis." He then disconnected the call.
"Oh great. Daddy Mason's gonna call me too." Ace said sarcastically as he held his phone in his hands and waited for a call from Mason.
