Ace stared at me as I drew. I tried to ignore his piercing gaze on me but was failing miserably. I had my eyes fixed on my work, my pencil in between my fingers. My eyes kept on flickering to Ace then back to my drawing. I decided to make him a portrait but he kept on moving. I looked at him only to find him pushing a strand of his hair which fell on his forehead, I clicked my tongue against my cheek, "stop moving. How do you want me to draw you if you don't stay still?"

"I don't know," he shrugged, "you're the artist." I rolled my eyes at him, going back to my drawing. Ace had been sitting there for at least fifteen minutes straight and he wouldn't stop moving, shifting in his seat or fixing his hair every now and then. He was definitely do it on purpose.

Ace and I had been together for exactly ten months now. Mason and Isabelle's marriage were at most two months ago. The two went on their honeymoon in Hawaii and weren't back yet. Kade had been a mess even though he wouldn't show it. He indulged himself in The RC, The Romano's Corp. He has been working his ass o day and night. Cole was still trying to win the heart of the boy he met in the cafe. Asher was helping Kade with the company. Rose, on the other hand, would stay at home and go through their family album everyday, spending countless hours gazing at Vincenzo's pictures.

"I'm bored," he groaned making me look at him with my brows raised, "seriously? It's been only seventeen minutes. I haven't even finished with your eyes-" he cut me off, standing up. I placed my pencil aside, "what do you have in mind?"

"Ice cream, sex," he bit his lip as he spoke, flashing me a sensual look with a smirk tugging at his lips which made me involuntarily clench my thighs together. The action did not go unnoticed by him as his smirk grew. I absolutely hated the effect he had on me and the fact that he knew about so called effect made it worse. "However, before that, we could hang out in my club after or we could even race. We have all the fucking day, love."

"We could fuck all day-" I cut myself off, noticing the look on his face, more like in his eyes. His blue eyes grew slightly darker which meant that he was considering the idea I just gave him. It was a joke. Clearly, he did not know that. "-I was joking," I clarified and watched a small from settle onto his lips. "Fuck you," he pouted, his brows furrowed, looking like a child deprived of his favourite candy.

"How about we go to the beach?" I raised my brows, "and then-" he cut me off, "-and then we fuck? On the beach? Sure. Let's go!" I rolled my eyes at his behaviour, "no, no, we won't fuck on the beach, you idiot! Why are you being so horny? Are your pregnant?"

He let out a sarcastic laugh, "very funny, Reed. Very funny, indeed," extending his hand to me, he asked, "shall we?" I placed my hand in his and stood up before we walked out of his room. As we descended the stairs, my eyes caught sight of the familiar elder woman sitting on the couch with her laptop opened on her lap. She was scrolling through some pictures, smiling every now and then.

"Mom, Vy and I are going out." Ace informed as we reached the last step. Rose looked up from her screen, her eyes brightening when they landed on me and a smile broke onto her face, "I did not even know she was here!"

"She stayed over last night," Ace scratched the back of his head, "anyway, we are going out. I won't be back for dinner," we walked towards her and Ace bent down to place a kiss on her forehead, "call me if you need anything or if you feel like something's wrong. Just call me, okay?" Rose rolled her eyes at his words but nodded nonetheless, "go have fun and for the love of god, put a ring on her."

Heat rushed to my cheeks at her words. The thought of marrying Ace made my stomach erupt with butterflies and I felt his grip involuntarily tighten on my hand. We had been together for ten months yet never once have we spoken about marriage. I was only twenty and he was twenty two. We didn't want to rush things and take haste decisions which we might end up regretting in the future.

"Soon," Ace's tone held a promise which made my head shot in his direction in surprise. He chuckled on seeing my expression before bringing a hand to push a strand of my hair away from my face, "soon." Rose smiled brightly at that while I just blushed even deeper than before. I cleared my throat, "we, uh-we should go."

"Right," Rose chuckled, "of course. Have fun you two. I love you both."

Ace threw an arm across my shoulders as we made our way towards the door. We got into the car and he began driving in the direction of the beach while I stared out of the window, thinking about how my life changed when I came back home and I couldn't help but to question whether it would've been the same if I had returned sooner? Ace and I would've met earlier, so definitely. Anyway, my life was perfect as it is and I wouldn't change it for the world.
