Jake

I walked back into my cell and sat on the bed my cellmate was sitting there

Marcus " what's up jakey boy "

Jake " just spoke to my girlfriend she didn't sound like herself just a whole bunch of crap has been happening "

Marcus " and the people after her ?"

Jake " well they're Dead "

Marcus " then what's the problem ?"

Jake " I don't know she sounded like she wanted to say something but didn't i just don't know "

Marcus " will she wait for you ?"

Jake " that's what she just said ,sorry I'm not really good at this i don't usually tell people anything about myself i have a hard time expressing emotions and reading people . She's the only one that understands me "

Marcus " you're fine , I'll talk to the guard tomorrow you can use my phone privileges to talk to her "

Jake " she doesn't know I'm in here "

Marcus " i see lets go work out you could use some more muscle "

Jake " sure let's go "

Marcus " if it still bothers you then  tomorrow you can speak to her "

I just nodded, we worked out because it was either that , play cards or watch tv and i wasn't up to that .

That night i had the craziest dream

I was walking up to her front door i could hear laughter coming from the backyard so i walked around and i stopped short at the sight before me they were all there , Lilly , Hannah , Jessica , Thomas ,cleo ,her brother and mother her friends were all there . They were having a party I saw her standing by a swing just  looking as beautiful as ever i started smiling as i was about to walk over to her a little girl ran out from nowhere calling to her
" Mommy mommy Daddy won't let me have any cake "
That stopped me in my tracks no she wouldn't do that. At that moment Phil walked over and picked the little girl up while wrapping his arms around her and kissed her she kept looking at him and smiling. No she wouldn't do that to me. Everything came crashing down. She turned at that moment and saw me. She walked over to me .
Mc " why are you here ?"
Jake " you said you would wait for me "
Mc " yes i did but i needed someone who i could depend on ,who won't have to disappear now and then . I needed a stable relationship and phil provided that for us "
Jake " Who's is she ?"
Mc " she's Phil's and that's it you should leave , don't ever come back here "
Jake " you promised ,i loved you"
Mc" yes i promised but Sometimes promises do get broken , goodbye jake "

I jumped up from my sleep no she can't do that ,she wouldn't do that to me i felt my heart breaking .

Marcus " you good jake "

Jake " yea sorry just a bad dream "

God my heart was hurting , i felt so lost but there was nothing i could do i couldn't expect her to wait for me ,i left her she had to move on with her life i would let her . I couldn't go back to sleep. I just laid there watching the ceiling when morning came. I didn't want to move.

Marcus " did you even sleep ?"

Jake " no "

Marcus " So you want to tell me what  the dream was about ?"

So i told him he'd probably think i was crazy anyway, i was losing my damn mind.

Marcus " my girlfriend promised to wait for me and she did ,she died two years ago in a car wreck "

Jake " she said she would wait "

Marcus " Go call her ,talk to her tell her what you're feeling, tell her where you are  , if she means it then she'll reassure you "

I took his advice and went to call her i needed to hear her voice i dialled her number

Jake " princess "

Mc " jake "

She sounded relieved to hear my voice

Jake " I'm in prison ,i gave myself up so that I'd have a future with you but I'm scared that you won't be able to wait for me and you'll move on with your life "

She was crying i didn't want her crying , my heart was already breaking

Jake " please don't cry love "

Mc " i love you , I'll be waiting for you i promise jake , there's something i didn't tell you "

Jake " what happened "

Mc " I'm pregnant I'm so sorry jake "

She was crying again she kept saying she was sorry

Jake " Don't be sorry love , it happened and that's okay one year princess then I'll be with you okay  I love you "

Mc " i love you too , just know that I'll always wait for you i don't want anyone else just you i promise"

I ended the call and just stood there she was pregnant that was what she wanted to tell me earlier i walked back slowly to my cell Marcus was still there he just looked at me

Marcus " so "

Jake " she going to wait for me , she's pregnant "

Marcus " then I'll make sure you're on your best behaviour "

Jake " Why ?"

Marcus " good behaviour  means probation , you'll probably be able to  see your girl earlier "

Jake " when are you getting out ?"

Marcus " I've got a year or so "

Jake " when you do get out Come visit me "

Marcus " okay then , let's go get breakfast before times up "

Marcus has become a friend . i was going to be a father i guess i will take that job that they had to offer i could do this as long as she's by my side i could do it . I would need to call lilly I'm sure she and Hannah knew .

The entire day was slow Marcus Lent me a book to read  i didn't really like to read but it was interesting . I had a good Nights sleep knowing she was okay  that morning i called Lilly

Jake " Hello Lilly "

Lilly " jake thank god ,how are you ?"

Jake " I'm okay ,how are you how's Hannah "

Lilly " ah crap jake Hannah's not doing good "

When she told me what happened exactly i think was  lost for words

Jake " where is she now ?"

Lilly " they're evaluating her but she'll go to jail for murder "

Damnit , everyone was losing their mind

Jake " I need you to do something for me , open my backpack and you'll find my wallet , there's a blue Debit card in there , i want you to Give it to Mc please "

Lilly " She told you ?"

Jake " yes i had how do you say it an episode i told her where i was "

Lilly " thank god because I'm tired of having secrets , I'll mail the card to her "

Jake " thank you lily , I'll call you every other week to find out about Hannah , and please keep checking on MC for me"

Lilly " it's okay ,and of course I'll check on her  "

After i hung up i headed outside what have you done to yourself Hannah  , why hurt the people that care about you .I just wanted out of here and continue my life .
