"Mom, the truth is-"
I got cut off when Dad came to the scene and was carrying Pat in his arms. Pat was awake. I noticed Dad was pinching Pat's arm with his fingers.
"-I did that to him and I am really sorry, Mom!"
No! Dad is forcing him to do this!
"No! I---"
Dad put down Pat quickly but carefully and walked towards me. He put his hands on my shoulder and gave it a squeeze.
"Now now now, calm down, John. You should forgive your brother. Your mother and I will be waiting."
I flinched a little and took my brother's hand.
"We need to talk." he whispered at me.
We both walk to the waiting room of the hospital where there are less patients.
"John, how could you do this to me?"
"Don't blame it on me! Dad ordered me to do it! I don't want to get hit anymore!"
"How could you frame-up your own brother? How could you---"
"Then why don't you just throw me away?! I was always the black sheep of the family! I don't deserve to live!"
"John, I---"
A stormed away and ran to our house. I wrote something to my diary:
