Sitting alone in the quiet Liliana waited for Do Hwan as fear spread throughout her veins like wildfire. She had hoped that moving to Korea would give her a chance at a new start a place where she would be happy and safe but now she wasn't so sure, it seemed like all this time Michael had been trying to find her and track her down.
As she sat alone in her apartment waiting for Do Hwan to arrive, the reality of everything that she had ever been through and what was now happening hit her and hit her hard. Liliana had hoped after all of that time being away from Michael that she had found a way out and would never see him again but now she knew even though she had left him because of what he had done, she could see from the message he never really went away and was quite clearly still after her.
Gazing out of the window with some tears still rolling her face, she soon spotted small spots of rain falling on the window until the rain quickly came down heavier turning into a big downpour. Watching and listening to the rain began to slowly help her calm and even out her breathing distracting her from her thoughts even if it would be just for a few minutes to help her before the silence was broken.
With a knock on the door followed by the press of the doorbell, Liliana's heart skipped a beat as she looked towards the direction of the door but settled as she heard Do Hwan from the other side.
"Liliana? are you alright, It's me Do Hwan."
Even from this point as he was on the other side of the door she could hear how worried he was and no sooner had she opened the door, she could clearly see it within in his eyes. But as Liliana stood there face to face with him all of her emotions came flooding back, though not of sadness but relief.
Within a split second she had taken a step forward as she was engulfed by Do Hwan's safe embrace, and no sooner did she return to gesture to him she couldn't help but sob in his arms. Liliana felt embarrassed but she knew deep down it was alright, In just a few short hours her world had turned upside down and she now didn't feel like her normal self her emotions were now all over the place and she was overwhelmed, only when she heard his voice did it distract her and pull her away from her bad thoughts.
"Liliana... don't cry, It's alright you have me here now. It's alright", he said softly trying his best to comfort her.
After a few minutes, Liliana found herself calmer than before and soon managed to have her breathing under control, with a flushed face and red puffy eyes she looked at Do Hwan once more to see the concern still residing within his eyes but in turn, she couldn't help feel more guilty for what she felt, was dragging him into her mess.
"I'm sorry for everything Do Hwan, I ended up meeting you In the worst ways possible and now... I've ended up dragging you into my mess of a life. All I can say is I'm sorry because I know that you could be doing better things with your time than being stuck with me but I don't know what else to do who else to turn to, you're... the only one I have."
Hearing those words from her mouth, Do Hwan felt his heartbreak into a million pieces.
"Hey, you don't have to be sorry for anything and you haven't done anything wrong. I want to be here for you because you are my friend and want to be here for you, you haven't done anything wrong I'm glad you called, you're not alone anymore Liliana because you have me now and whatever is happening whatever you're going through I'll stay by your side.", he replied sincerely keeping a gentle hold on her.
