As the weeks flew by and Lily's pregnancy progressed she and Do Hwan learned that her stomach had become noticeable and had somewhat 'popped' overnight. At sixteen weeks they had finally been able to find out the gender of their baby, and they soon found out they were having a little girl.
One thing she did truly love, was being able to see, to see her pregnancy progress to be able to see her belly and to see their little girl on the screen each time she had an ultrasound and listen to her strong heartbeat.
Now she was at her twenty-first week of pregnancy she knew and could feel her belly was bigger again and it felt incredible, Lily recently began to feel movement as she moved around and feeling little flutters as she kicked, both Lily and Do Hwan couldn't quite believe that this was happening.
Today Lily and Do Hwan were set for going out for the day but Lily had strange feeling and didn't want to leave house feeling like her narcolepsy wasn't the best and she would have have many episodes that were yet to start.
As she lay on the sofa under a blanket gently rubbing her belly she could soon hear the tapping of claws and the sound of footsteps approaching instantly recognisable as Poppy and Do Hwan.
"Hey, sweetheart how are you doing?".
Reaching out to him she felt him take her hand in his before he gave it a gentle squeeze starting to try and reassure her. Today she didn't want to be left alone and wanted to stay by Do Hwan's side, but she couldn't help but feel guilty for asking him to stay at home.
"I'm okay, I'm sorry that I'm being so clingy with you and being selfish asking you to stay home with me."
"Hey, stop that you're not being selfish at all darling you haven't done anything wrong and I wanted to stay home with you, I wanted to be here for you."
With a kiss on her forehead, she felt Do Hwan's lips disappear as I then heard his voice once again.
"I have an idea why don't I make us some hot chocolate and we can head up to bed we can curl up and cuddle and watch a series on Netflix, so what do you say?"
She couldn't help but smile that idea sounded like heaven, and very much blissful something that was much needed right now.
"I very much like that idea, I second to that."
"Okay, let's get you upstairs and comfortable and then I'll make us some hot chocolate and we can pick something to watch."
With the blanket being removed from me she took a hold of Do Hwan's hands as he guided her up to their room with Poppy following close behind. Before long, the comfort and warmth of the bed welcomed her as she lay down in a comfortable position being mindful of her belly.
Laying quietly for a moment she listened as Do Hwan's footsteps gradually evaporated from the bedroom back down to the stairs to the kitchen before he soon came back with two hot chocolates. From the movement around the room and shuffling around the room she watched as he put down the cups of hot chocolate down before settling down on the bed and laying down beside her.
At that moment, Lily couldn't be more relaxed as Do Hwan gently turned her towards him, laying her head on his chest and wrapping her arms around his middle she couldn't help but start to smile as his hand gently rested on her stomach and they could both feel their daughter moving and kicking around in her belly. It was a feeling like no other and it was the best feeling in the entire world and the more she moved the more she began to make them laugh.
"We've got a little kicker there huh?"
Lily couldn't agree more with Do Hwan but the more their little girl was kicking the more it was starting to hurt a little. Without having to say anything Do Hwan must have already seen her discomfort as what happened next she wasn't ready to hear and took her by surprise.
"Calm down with the kicks now sweet pea it's starting to hurt Eomma."
With Do Hwan's calming voice and soothing ministrations on her belly, their little girl soon settled down and ceased moving and kicking for a while but she knew from this moment on she knew she would be a daddy's girl.
"She's definitely going to be a appa's girl Do Hwan."
"Really? You think so?"
Lily couldn't help but giggle, "Oh, I know so."
