Seventeen

That afternoon, Liliana woke up feeling better and more refreshed than she had earlier in the day, but was surprised to find Do Hwan was no longer laying beside her, though she soon answered her own question when she could smell food coming from the kitchen.

From the looks of things, he was making a picnic out of all of the food.

"Hey, what you up to handsome?"

As soon as those words had left her mouth, she watched as she turned around in surprise and gasped in shock.

"Lily hi sweetheart what are you doing here? Wait you aren't supposed to see any of this yet, don't look I'll come and get you when I've finished."

Guiding his girlfriend to the Livingroom he headed back to the kitchen to continue preparing for what would be their first-ever date, gathering a different assortment of food he placed everything into a large basket.

With it being their first date he wanted it to be special, for a few moments, he began racking his brain for ideas until a perfect idea came to mind. Looking around for blankets, cushions anything he could find he decided to collect everything and headed out and up to the rooftop.

After climbing a few flights of stairs he soon made it to the rooftop as it overlooked the rest of the area and the city.

It took Do Hwan some time but he soon manage to make a cosy fort using the blankets, cushions, lights and fairy lights he had also found. Standing back for a moment he admired his work before turning on his heel and heading back down to go to get his girlfriend.

Back Inside, he headed to the Livingroom to find Liliana curled up on the sofa watching something on the Tv.

"Hey darling.", he said softly as he sat beside her.

"Hey, where did you go?", she asked as a look of curiosity appeared on her face.

"Don't worry I didn't go far but I have a surprise for you.", he replied as a beaming smile made it's way onto his face.

"A surprise? What kind of surprise."

"You'll see come on.", he said as he stood up and held out his hand for Liliana to take.

Taking his hand, Do Hwan covered her eyes and began leading her up to the rooftop.

"Do Hwan honey, this is making me feel a little unsteady."

"I know I'm sorry sweetheart it's alright I've got you I won't let you fall I promise."

Climbing the last few steps they soon reached the rooftop.

"Okay, wait there keep your eyes closed."

Turning on the fairy lights he had put around the fort and the lights he had put along the wall, he then helped Liliana sit down.

"Okay, open."

Opening her eyes, she gasped. "Do Hwan, you did all of this?"

He nodded and smiled, moving closer to his girlfriend, "Yes, just for you."

"It's perfect."

Sealed with a loving kiss, the couple enjoyed the young night and their first date and with the stars shining bright In the night sky nothing could have been better, for Liliana she felt happy the happiest she had been for a long time, she knew that If she didn't get away from Michael when she did she may have never have gotten free from him and would have never got to meet the man she was with right now. Do Hwan was the one who made her happy, the one who helped her when she needed help the most and she could never have enough words.
