Twenty Three

A couple of days later, and the events of what happened only a few days prior were still fresh in their minds. They still couldn't quite believe that they were going to become parents.

Although the prospect of it all was a little daunting and Lily was a little scared they were both very happy and over the moon learning the news of their baby.

Waking up she knew that she was curled up in Do Hwan's arms. Reaching out she placed her hand on her stomach to find Do Hwan's was already there as Lily couldn't help but have a bright smile appear on her face, and placed her hand over his interlacing their fingers together.

Turning on her side she gently reached out to Do Hwan, before moving a little more closely towards him and placing her head in the crook of his neck.

For a few moments, all was calm and peaceful though it wasn't long before Lily started to feel uneasy. With her stomach beginning to turn like a washing machine she knew there and then that she was going to be sick, and before she had time to fully comprehend what was going on she had already gotten out of bed trying to make her way to the bathroom just as she began retching.

From quick footsteps coming up from behind her, she knew Do Hwan was woken up by her sudden movement and was by her side in an instant as she knelt in front of the toilet just in time.

"Easy darling it's okay I'm here it's alright, it's alright."

For Lily trying to catch her breath was becoming ever more difficult but with Do Hwan's comforting hand on her back, it soon became easier to regain control of her breathing. But she knew now why these last few weeks she was being sick and it was all down to having morning sickness and it felt like it was only getting worse.

"Lily?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you sure you'll be alright on your own for a while you look quite pale and I'll be out for a couple of hours sweetheart."

Wiping her mouth and flushing the toilet, she leaned back into Do Hwan as he caught her putting his arms around her keeping a gentle hold on her, collecting herself and taking a deep breath she could understand where he was coming from and was only concerned about her but Lily did want him to miss his interview.

"It's okay, I'll be alright Do Hwan I promise."

For a moment there was a pause of silence so she knew he was thinking about it but thankfully after a few moments, he placed a kiss atop her head as he rubbed his hand up and down her arm in comfort and she couldn't help but give a small smile.

"Okay, but if start to feel unwell something is wrong at any point just let me know and I'll come straight home alright?"

"Okay."

With another few minutes passing by she was starting to feel more like herself again and soon left the bathroom with Do Hwan heading back to their room.

Before long, Do Hwan was ready for the day only to look back at his girlfriend who had now climbed back into bed giving her a smile as he walked over to her bedside to give her a kiss.

"I love you, but you're sure you'll be okay?", he asked worry evident on his face.

Lily could only giggle, "Yes, I'll be okay I promise and I love you too. Now get going you don't want to be late."

With that Do Hwan placed a kiss on her forehead as he left the room and the sound of his footsteps beginning to disappear from her ears.
