Panic stricken, Eden looked at the vitals on the machine. Siren's blaring nonstop at the escape pod's safety system malfunctioning. She started typing onto the pop up screen. A red error screen flashed brightly in her face and she let out a scream of anger punching the metal wall, making an evident dent into it. She reached down to her stomach bulging enough that if left any longer, she wouldn't be able to hide it. This time she was going to get away before anything detrimental happened. She's kept anything to a minimum. As requested, Cain gave her a year after the loss of their last pregnancy. Eden smiled for a moment thinking that this time, she wouldn't lose the child if she escaped. She pulled up a chart that showed her coded charting in order to hide her pregnancy all together. Fear arose in her core thinking of what the others would do if they found out she was once again with child.
With shaking hands, Eden covered her mouth crying silently. Her mind raced thinking of all the men each taking turns using her body as a toy. During each time they had their way with her, they would punch, stab, or kick at her stomach, eventually killing the child within her. In order to plan for their next child, Cain had to check every part that he believed he failed scientifically. This would mean Eden might be tested on and put into a cryo sleep to preserve any chance of her ability to have another child. Once he finished his research Eden was awoken and greeted with sedated vampires for her to feed from. Once she was back to her normal self, Cain treated her as his queen every night for as long as it would take for conception. Every time Cain made a big fuss over the child she carried she knew within weeks or months, Isaak would gather his goons, drug her in her sleep or in a fight only to drag her to an open room away from anyone who can even think of helping her. The last time it happened Cain had finally found her unconscious body laying on the metal floor in a pile of blood mixed with male excrements.
In a fit of anger, Cain started to take it out on Eden claiming she was unfaithful to him until he realized she was forcibly overdosed on carfentanil when she couldn't fend or fight him off of her. She could look up at him, but her body denied any able movement. It was one of the most potent opioids in the world. Stronger than simple morphine by 10,000 times. Normally she would've been awake and cleaned herself before he could ever find her. This time they had given too much to Eden, proving fatal to the unborn child. Along with the beatings she took, Cain had realized the loss of their child was not of Eden's own fault. Especialy with the condition she was in, mixed with the bruises and broken bones. Thinking of all the other times she had lost their child in the past years, she did not lie when she said it wasn't his fault. Cain went into a frenzy finding anyone at fault in order to blame them instead. Someone was stopping them from reproducing, and it wasn't his science failing him or her body. It was someone on the ship.
Cain always suspected when she lost the child, for she grew colder and more distant. That involved never letting him near her until a week later. It was her spacing out the time it took for her to heal. He never quite understood the woman, yet made sure to research everything and all that he did for her. Nothing else mattered.
He killed anyone that hadn't fled the ship. Gruesomely at that. The moment Eden had awoken, Cain never left her side unless she requested something. He held her closer that night than any night before. He saw the emotion of her coldness's normal side change. He knew everything now, he was broken mentally and emotionally more than she was broken physically in this moment. Everything she went through and yet she was willing to continuously try to have his children. Isaak was the only one unscathed from his chaos, as being his right hand man he believed the story of Isaak never knowing anything. Isaak was the one who helped Cain find out and pin point anyone who was involved with the sabotage. He offered footage, and solid proof of anything that happened, alibis of where he was on certain days, missions he was gone for as he almost never laid a hand on Eden. Just his eyes and smile.
