A double vertical picture showed up onto the screen and everyone watched as a younger looking Abel, dressed in an all white outfit, hacked into a series of doorways opening up a larger chamber, "Is this the last section with the largest room or what?" A feminine voice spoke and looked to Abel as his camera panned to see the woman then back to the door.
"Uhm. I think so. I've mapped the place out already. This is weird with how many small pods are shown in the map of the ship." Abel looked over his shoulder as he finished opening the door. "After you?" His smile was youthful and clearly in love with the woman he was with. "This will be something big if we bring news back to the command center about it. We might have found something that will change Earth for the better. Then we can go back!"
"Abel, don't get your hopes up." The woman smiled holding her hands together before her chest, her red hair framing her tanned face beautifully. It didn't take long until she noticed the room's contents, "Oh! Look at all the bodies! Are they in preservation chambers?" The two screens scanned around looking at the chambers with people inside. Most of them were labeled with names of people dressed in decent white outfits like lab workers, whereas some were naked with small amounts of clothing covering their bodies and small needle injection points or holes that once held larger noticeable tubing or needles from.
Abel leaned over a railing overlooking the edge and saw that there were layers of the floors. "There's so many people. If I can call them that, right?"
"Abel!" Abel turned and came rushing over to the woman hovering one of the bodies in small amounts of clothing as the tubing inside had better access to her body. "This must be the first human they had. She's number 00. How odd. No name at all. Well, maybe that could be a name written inside, but I have no clue how to read that language."
"Funny. Maybe we can find a chamber for 01, 02, 03, and 04, too? One for each of us on the ship?" Abel smiled looking at the buttons on the machine. Inside lay a woman with hip length black hair but barely had any notable looking clothing on. Instead there were a series of needles into her body as if she was in the process of being embalmed. She lay peacefully inside as if she hadn't aged a day despite the age they believed the machines to be from, "Think we should open it up?"
"Abel, you'll have to wait. We don't even know what they were testing here. I can't allow you to-" She looked over to Abel already opening the machine. The air from the inside met the outside air, billowing out around Abel as the pressure equalized. He eyed vials filled with black liquid inside and shrugged at the dark skinned woman as he picked them up with his bare hands. "Abel!" The woman glared slightly and crossed her arms
He swirled the two vials around together and smiled holding both in one hand, "Look. They are fine. Just vials with thick liquid. Maybe had something else inside but being so old they dried out? Maybe we can bring it to Seth and she can figure them out more."
"In this chamber? Abel, there is no way for them to dry out in an airtight vacuum sealed chamber. Now put them back please."
"Lilith, I know what I'm doing. They really don't seem so bad. Just funny looking. It's kind of like melted jellies. Very slow, like syrup even," He smiled at Lilith as he put down one vial to look more at the other high above his head to see with the light shining through. He watched Lilith tap her nails on her arm unhappily before he accidentally dropped the one vial onto the second. With the thin glass being centuries old, the glass shattered immediately on impact. In a panic, Abel reached down trying to save the vial. It was too late and as he grabbed at the vial, it slipped through, slicing his finger open along the side. "Ah! Damn..." He held up his bleeding finger trying to pull the glass out and smiled a bit shyly at Lilith, "Could I get a hand?"
