Well well well it's now 2022 happy new year folks. I don't wanna say I got writers block because I know exactly where I wanna take this story (at least up until Volume 5) it's more so just a lack of drive and massive amounts of procrastination which is something that I've always struggled with. The big thing that set me back with this was the interaction with Winter. I honestly just couldn't get it come out in a way that seemed natural, but I think I've finally got it to at least decent. Now without further Ado let the reading commence.

We open on a beautiful looking balcony where Weiss and Winter are having tea together.

Weiss: You're.... leaving?

Winter: Yes.  I was merely needed to oversee the transport of additional units to Vale. Our last shipment was lost to an ambush. I believe you had a run-in with its cargo, actually. It's fortunate those Paladins were in the prototype stage, otherwise your team may not have fared so well. Weiss, you've done.. well, out here, on your own. You should be proud. I'll be honest, it was quite amusing seeing Father's face the day you left for Beacon!

Weiss: I can't wait to show him what I've learned!

Winter: Oh, and what is it that you've learned?

Weiss: What do you mean? I'm getting better and better with my glyphs! I've even started Time Dilation!

Winter: And what of your summoning?

Weiss: You know I can't, I'm not like you or (Y/N).

Winter: Don't be ridiculous. Every Schnee has the ability to summon, we have for generations. 

Weiss: I've tried it's just... I don't know how you and (Y/N) do it. 

Winter: Our brother is interesting, I was also surprised, at how early he was able to summon. But for me the catalyst was your birthday.

Weiss: My birthday?

Winter: Well yours and (Y/N). I was cornered, and then I remembered the promise I made to the two of you. To be there for your party. I thought about failing you two and then I summoned. 

Weiss: Is that why you were late?

Winter: Yes.

Weiss: Have you tried explaining this to (Y/N)? Not just that time, but every other time something similar happened?

Winter: I highly doubt he'd listen now, even if I tried. We both know he hates me.

Weiss: I don't think he hates you Winter, I just think he feels betrayed in a way. 

Winter: Do you really think he'll listen to me?

Weiss: It won't hurt to try.

It was beyond infuriating, why did she have to be here. As if she had any right to behave like family after abandoning you and Weiss for the sake of her military career.  All the missed birthdays. The ditching you last minute for a mission. Leaving you and Weiss with that monster of a father. Did she really expect you to act as though they didn't happen?

Winter: (Y/N).

(Y/N): What do you want specialist Schnee?

Winter: I just want to talk.

(Y/N): There is nothing I want to hear from you.

Winter: Please (Y/N), if you just-

(Y/N): Just what? Give you a chance? Forgive you? You abandoned us to fight for the military and you expect me to forgive you?

Winter: I know that I-

(Y/N): No you don't know! We needed you, I needed you. And where were you?! Fighting some Grimm halfway across the continent!

How dare she, asking for forgiveness after all these years. In your anger you hadn't even realized the tears streaming down your face

(Y/N): And why? For what? Just to get some shiny new medals? To not have to deal with father?

Winter then something you had not expected. She pulled you in for a hug, as you sobbed into her shoulder.

Winter: Let it all out, I know I failed you. I'm sorry, I know I should've been there for you all these years, if I could change things I would. But I'm here now, and even if you don't forgive me I'll always be there for you and Weiss. You'll always be my little brother.

Fucking finally got that conversation right. Now yes this was a short chapter by the main reason I made it was to develop your relationship with Winter. If she had more screen time overall on the show I might've drawn it out more but she doesn't show up really at all until like Volume 7. But yeah I know this was really short so I'll try to make the next one longer. Aso I thought of a Title for this, tell me what you guys think of it.I hope ye enjoyed.
