Timeskip!Katie is in her second trimester and River is about to see their baby's ultrasound for the first time,they're also going to find out the gender of the baby.
Katie's pov
"I'm so nervous."River said,we were waiting for the doctor in the waiting room."Katie Phoenix?"a nurse said,River and I stood up.we walked into the doctors office,doctor Clarkson walked into the room we were waiting in,"Hello Mr.Phoenix I'm doctor Clarkson,I'm your wife's doctor."she introduced herself to River.River shook her hand,"let's see how your baby is doing."she said.I sat on the chair and lifted up my shirt a bit to reveal my belly,she put some cold cream on my belly."zoinks!"I shivered,the cream was still cold.she turned on the screen,"ok let's see here..."she said.
River and I anxiously looked at the screen,"your baby looks very healthy Mr and Mrs.Phoenix."the doctor said.River and I smiled,"thanks doc."River said."you're welcome,do you want to also know the gender?"she asked.i looked at River,we looked at her."Yeah."I replied,"alright just give me a minute."she said.River held my hand,we have a list of kid names in the back of our heads."alright:the gender of your baby is..."she said,we looked at her anxiously."a girl!"she revealed the gender of our baby,River and I gasped and smiled."a baby girl Rio!"I cheered,River gently hugged me.
River's pov
"WHAT'S THE GENDER OF THE BABY?!"Joaquin exclaimed the minute Katie and I opened the front door,Summer smacked the back of his head."Let them enter their own damn house!"she scolded him,"Thanks Summer."i said to her as Katie and I entered our house."I kinda regret giving you guys a key."Katie said,I helped her sit down on the couch."so what's the gender of the baby?"Liberty asked as she sat down next to me and Katie,"should we tell them?"Katie asked me."we should:they've waited long enough."I replied,she nodded.Joaquin,Summer,Rain,and Liberty looked at me and Katie eagerly and nervously."the baby is a girl."Katie and I both said,everyone's jaw dropped.Joaquin fainted,luckily Summer caught him to make sure he didn't crack the back of his head.
