Katie's pov
I woke up to Lake crying,"I'm getting her this time Rio."i said as I got up."noooo,let me do itttt."he mumbled,grabbing my arm.I smiled and jokingly rolled my eyes,"you need your rest."i said.I gently cupped his cheek,I leaned down and kissed his forehead."rest,I'll handle our child."i said,I got up from our bed and walked to Lake's nursery.she was stirring and crying in her crib,reaching her hands out."oh my poor baby."i said as I gently picked her up,"you must've had a nightmare."i said as I gently held her in my arms.she kept crying,confirming my suspicions."shhhh,shhhh,mama's here now."I whispered,I walked towards the rocking chair and sat down on it.I gently rocked Lake in my arms,trying to get her to calm down.

I then had an idea,"I'm a bit rusty...but if it'll calm her down then maybe it'll work."I thought.
