I looked at myself in the mirror,I was really nervous about me and River's date tonight."it's gonna be ok Katie,I'm sure the date will go well and you'll be fine..,"I thought to myself,I left my room and walked down the hall.i sat down on the couch in the living room,I nervously looked at the clock on the wall.i anxiously waited for River,I had so many thoughts swarming around in my head.all my thoughts were cut off when I heard the doorbell ring,I immediately stood up,I walked towards the door and opened it:revealing River.
River's pov
Tonight was me and Katie's first date,I was actually pretty nervous about it.i parked my car near her house,I got out of the car and walked towards her front door.i rang the doorbell,Katie opened the door.i blushed when I saw her,"wow....you look... beautiful."i said.she blushed,"T-Thanks,you look pretty beautiful yourself."she said.i blushed,"you ready?"I asked her.she nodded,I held out my hand.she held my hand,I gently held her hand and led her to my car.i opened the passenger door for her,"Thanks River."she said as she sat in the passenger seat."you're welcome Katie."i said,I closed the passenger door and went to the driver's door.i opened the door and sat down on the driver's seat,I closed the driver door.
Katie's pov
The car ride was awkwardly silent,"say something Katie,anything!"I thought."so,um,where are we going?"I asked River as we stopped at a red light,"I'm taking us to a nice diner I found."he responded."we're actually here."he added as he parked the car,we got out of the car.after River locked the car he held my hand and led me inside the diner,I blushed.after sitting down at our seats we immediately looked at the menus,we ended up actually ordering the same thing!River and I actually have a lot in common,which is something I didn't expect.
