Chapter 146: A Wondrous Place

The five of them appeared on a ridge just above the desert basin where Agrabah should have been sprawled out before them. Instead, there was nothing more than blank sand and arid air.

"I don't understand this...how could it just disappear?" Jasmine wondered.

"Maybe tell us about the last thing you remember?" Snow suggested.

"Yes, you never mentioned how you ended up in the Land of Untold Stories," David added.

"It was Jafar...I think he did something. He tricked me," she confessed.

"How so?" Snow asked. She took a deep breath.

"After Aladdin left...he came to the Kingdom and said if I agreed to marry him, then Agrabah would be spared. Otherwise...he would destroy it," she said.

"I searched for a way to defeat him, but it quickly became clear that marrying him would be the only way to save my people...so I agreed," she continued.

"He accepted my father's ring. It contains a powerful diamond that has protected Agrabah for centuries and has been worn by every Sultan in our long history. Once Jafar had the ring, he revealed that he never wanted to rule Agrabah. He wanted the ring so he could curse my Kingdom," she said.

"And then...in a blink of an eye, everything was gone. I don't know what he did to it," she finished sadly.

"This is my fault...if I had never left..." Aladdin lamented.

"Son...you made a mistake. We can still fix this. It sounds like Jafar is the one that has the answers we need, but first, we should at least try wishing for the return of Agrabah," Cassim reasoned.

"He's right...and then we wish to know Jafar's location and we confront him," David said.

"Jafar is a powerful Sorcerer...it's hard to say where he is or what torment he is inflicting," Jasmine replied.

"Except we know for a fact that he was defeated by some friends of ours," Snow reminded.

"The Knave...didn't he once mention that Jafar was trapped as a Genie?" Aladdin asked.

"Yes...if he's in a lamp somewhere, we can find him and make him tell us," David replied. Aladdin looked at Jasmine.

"I'm ready if you are," he said. She nodded and took a deep breath.

"Genie...I wish for the return of Agrabah," she wished. Aladdin's hands glowed, but the Kingdom did not appear and it seemed like nothing had happened.

"It didn't work..." Cassim said forlornly.

"My powers are telling me it did though. This doesn't make any sense!" Aladdin called in frustration.

"Then finding Jafar is what we need to do," David said.

"Taking him on is extremely dangerous. Are you sure you want to come with us?" Jasmine asked. Snow and Charming smiled, as they joined hands.

"We've faced plenty of dangerous beings and we have a lot of magic on our side," Snow said.

"She's right...let us help," David added. Jasmine looked truly touched.

"Thank you," she said, as she turned back to Aladdin.

"Genie...for my second wish, I wish to find the Sorcerer Jafar and for all of us to be taken to his location," she wished. Aladdin's hands glowed and the five of them disappeared in another puff of magical smoke.

"This is it? This is what the Dark Curse yielded when it was cast?" Yzma questioned, as they observed the town from the clock tower. She was very unimpressed.
