Chapter 150: The Final Battle, Pt 3
James and Aphrodite fought an onslaught of the creatures together in almost perfect synchronization.
"You're pretty good with a sword," he mentioned.
"Is that a compliment or surprise, Your Highness?" she questioned in amusement.
"Both...glad to know you can fight without magic," he replied. She smirked.
"Oh, I think you'll find there are many things I can do without magic," she mused, as she cut down three more. He smirked back.
"I'm either going to enjoy that or pay for that later, right?" he asked. She shrugged coyly.
"That depends on my mood," she teased. He grinned and took down several more, as he followed her to take on more and help the others.
Leo sliced through another creature, enduring its ear splitting shrieking, as it was banished back to the nether realm from where it came. He stood at the ground level, while Eva was propped up on an overturned car, picking them off from a higher vantage point.
"I think we're finally making a dent," she mentioned.
"Yeah...I just hope Mom and Dad are okay. I had a really bad feeling there for a minute," he mentioned.
"Me too...but it passed. They're okay...I know it," she replied, Paul limped toward them and she gasped.
"What happened?" she asked, noticing the gash on his leg.
"It's just a flesh wound, don't worry," Paul assured, knowing how much it bothered her not to have her healing powers at the moment.
"We're beating them back. If we don't see Snow and David soon, we should go looking for them," Xander mentioned. But in a puff of black and yellow smoke, Fiona and Yzma appeared before them.
"That won't be necessary. Snow and Charming, nor Emma will not be coming to assist any of you," Fiona said deviously.
"What does that mean?" Regina demanded to know. She glared at the former Queen.
"She means that they've finally gotten what was coming to them," Regina's voice said, but the words didn't come from Regina. The Queen, in full Royal garb, strode toward them.
"How the hell did you get de-snaked?" Regina demanded to know.
"I made my son undo his little spell," Fiona answered for her.
"He is NOT your son," Aphrodite refuted hotly.
"Be that as it may, it will not matter much longer. Not even you will be impervious to the end this time, Goddess," Fiona said, as she looked to the other sorceress.
"Bring about their end with your end times spell, Yzma," Fiona ordered.
"End times spell?" Leo questioned, as the sky suddenly went from an overcast light gray to a dark, midnight blue, complete with crackling lightning. The wind picked up to violent speeds and they watched a swirling vortex appear in the sky.
"Yes...the end is here, young one. But do not fret...your end will be quicker than your parents was," Yzma promised. His face fell.
"You're lying...our parents are still alive and so is Emma," Leo refuted.
"Then where are they? And why isn't my curse broken?" Fiona questioned. But no one had answers for that.
"No...you didn't kill them. I won't believe you," Eva refused.
"Keep telling yourself that, sweet cheeks," Yzma hissed.
"I'd give anything to have seen it happen," the Queen said, relishing the thought that her wretched step-daughter and idiot husband were finally dead.
