Chapter 175: Smoke Screen

"And that's pretty much everything," Henry said, as he finished telling her everything that occurred the night before in the warehouse, including everything he had seen, heard, and everything Nick had done.

"Wow...you weren't kidding," Jacinda offered.

"I told you...complete insanity," he replied. She blew out a breath and glanced at her daughter.

"Or maybe it's really all true," Lucy chimed in.

"Honey...I know how much you want it to be true, but it's just not possible. Henry can't be your father," Jacinda said, as her eyes met his.

"I think I'd remember that," he added.

"No...you wouldn't, because it's the curse! Just like great grandpa David didn't remember great grandma Snow! That's how powerful the curse is!" she insisted. Jacinda sighed.

"Lucy please...it doesn't matter what memories you think we don't have and do you know why?" she asked. Lucy pouted.

"Why?" she muttered.

"Because we're going to make new memories," Jacinda replied.

"You mean together?" Lucy asked skeptically. Jacinda looked up at Henry.

"I don't want you to get your hopes up, but I was thinking that we could all spend the day together. What do you think, Henry?" Jacinda asked. He smiled.

"I'd really like that," he agreed. Lucy looked at them both and decided that it was a start. She really wished they would stop denying the truth, but maybe spending more time together would get them to remember. It had to. She didn't know what she was going to do if it didn't.

"Okay," she answered.

"I know this great retro video game place we can go," he said, as she grinned. She loved playing retro video games with her dad.

"Isn't that place a bar?" Jacinda questioned.

"They allow kids. You have to wear a wristband if you're drinking," he responded.

"Okay then...retro video games it is," she agreed, as they all shared a smile.

"No..." Emma refuted, as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Emma..." David admonished.

"No Dad...I refuse to let you and Mom make a deal with that woman, especially for me," she argued.

"Honey...Anastasia is innocent in all this. Your father and I feel that we need to help her, especially since we know Ivy is still in league with Gothel," Snow said.

"And I get that Mom. I'm all for helping her, but we can't trust Rapunzel Tremaine or Victoria Belfry... whatever her name is here. I'll be damned if I let her get her hooks into both of you. This is the same woman that has teamed up with Clayton in the past," she reminded.

"She's not wrong," Weaver agreed. David sighed.

"We're just going over there to try and convince Ana to come stay with us. That's it," David reasoned.

"And I'll be going with you, because you two are in more danger than you want to admit and you both know I'm right," Emma insisted. Snow sighed. They really couldn't refute that.

"Clayton is walking free and as long as that's the case, I'm not letting either of you out of my sight," she insisted. They smiled.

"Fair enough," they agreed, as Rogers returned from doing the paperwork and spotted the blonde with his partner and his wife.
