Chapter 14

"So?" Ryujin asked not really caring.

"Dude?! Aren't you listening? Yeji had a huge crush on Yeonjun!" Jisu replied

"It's just a crush, and like you said she 'had' a crush on the dude" Ryujin added and started going back to Yeji's office

"Don't say we didn't warn you" said Soobin

Ryujin was about to grab the knob when the door opened and revealed a pair giggling "Ryujin" said a surprised Yeji "Y-Yeonjun and I are about to grab some lunch. Uhm... can we get a rain check on that dinner?"

"No, no. Looks like you had plans already. We can cancel" said Yeonjun

"No, it's fine" Ryujin said "there's always a next time. You and Yeonjun can catch up"

"Why don't you come with us?" Yeonjun asked

"No, no. It's fine. You two go" Ryujin insisted

"Are you sure?" Yeonjun asked again

"Yes" Ryujin replied "Now go. I'll meet you at home" she added and gave Yeji a hug

"I'll bring her back before dinner" Yeonjun added and started walking towards the elevator with Yeji leaving Ryujin.

Turning to her side she saw her friends giving her the 'are you fucking serious look?'. They came closer "You're just gonna stand there and let them?" Soobin asked

"Guys come on. I trust Yeji ok. And like you guys said. It's just a crush. Nothing more" she said sternly and walked away.

Evening came, and Ryujin was helping Mrs. Hwang in the kitchen when the front door burst open and came in two people giggling. "My princess looks happy" said Mr. Hwang to his daughter

"Dad!" Yeji greeted her father with a hug

"What happened?!" asked a frantic Mrs. Hwang who came rushing to the living room

"Mom!" Yeji also hugged her

"Yeonjun?" Mr. Hwang asked finally noticing him

"Good afternoon, sir" Yeonjun greeted and shook the older man's hand

"So, what's happening why are you all smiley" Mrs. Hwang asked

Yeji stood next to Yeonjun "why don't you tell them?" he said

"Well, you see Yeonjun here, after treating me lunch. He introduced me to a modelling agency" Yeji started "and... I showed them some pictures from before and they said I got in! They asked me if I could do a photoshoot tomorrow"

"Aww! Baby! I'm so proud of you!" said Mr. Hwang hugging her daughter again

"It's all thanks to Yeonjun" said Yeji

Ryujin came out of the kitchen wiping her hands "Hey" she started confused on what was going on. Yeji broke her embrace from Yeonjun

"Hey babe" she said and gave her a hug

"Yeonjun referred Yeji to a modelling agency" said Mr. Hwang

"And?" Ryujin asked Yeji

"I got in!"

"For reals?! I'm proud of you" Ryujin replied

"Yeonjun, why don't you join us for dinner?" asked Mr. Hwang

"Uhm..."

"Come on, Yeonjunie. It's a thank you for everything. I'm sure you missed mom's paella" Yeji said

"Ok fine" Yeonjun replied

As they were having dinner, business was all they talked about leaving Ryujin out of place. She didn't know anything about it so, she just stayed quiet. Yeji noticed this and took Ryujin's hand under the table and held it 'You okay?' she mouthed

Ryujin smiled in response

After dinner Yeji is in her room drying her hair when she heard a knock on the door "Come in"

Ryujin peaked her head "Hey" she greeted

"Hey, come in"

"Nah, it's fine. Just came to say good night"

Yeji turned to the other girl by the door "Sorry again about the dinner. I'll make it up to you"

"You don't have to. Matter of fact, if you didn't go to that lunch with Yeonjun, you wouldn't be able to get to that modelling agency. Well, I'm sure you could but you know" Yeji walked towards her and gave the taller girl a hug "Just so you know, I'm proud of you and I will always be right beside you"

"Thank you" Yeji replied and buried her face on Ryujin chest and breathed in the other girl's scent

"Now get your beauty sleep. You have a pictorial tomorrow"

"But I want to stay like this" Yeji didn't budge "I missed you. We haven't been hanging out lately and now with this, I don't know when I can do this again"

Ryujin grinned and looked down at the girl "In case you're forgetting, I'm your bodyguard. So, wherever you go, I will go. I won't leave you"

"Promise?"

"Promise"

They were inches apart when Yeji's phone started to ring making then laugh "It's Yeonjun" Ryujin nodded indicating Yeji to answer it "Hey"

They broke away from the hug and Ryujin was about to go out when Yeji grabbed her by the waist, back hugging her.

"Yeah, I'm about to go to sleep" said Yeji on the phone

Ryujin stood there silently listening in

"Ok, alright. See you" she replied and hanged up.

Ryujin turned back to Yeji "you should go to sleep"

"No... I want to stay up with you" Yeji retorted like a child

Ryujin smiled "Come on" she said leading the girl to bed "Go to sleep, you have a busy day tomorrow" she said tucking the girl in and walked towards the door "Night"

"Ryujin" Yeji said before the other girl could leave

Ryujin turned "Hmm?"

"I love you"

Ryujin smiled "I love you too"
