"Good Morning Major General." That was 5th time you had been saluted in a single day, it was grating on your last nerve. You missed when You could simply pass through a crowd like a shadow. Visible but easily forgotten. No such luck with your new promotion.

"Good Morning Major General!" Now it was just getting ridiculous! You quickened your pace until you reach the infirmary and promptly closed the door behind you taking a few breaths to calm yourself down. A familiar knock on the door had a whole new headache forming. You had promised Captain Koby to accompany him to the island for a day, you now regretted making that decision before drinking coffee, clearly you hadn't had enough caffeine to make such a decision. You sighed and opened the door, and did your very best to not blush at the young Captain's attire.

"Good morning Y/N-san. I know you just got back, but if it's okay with you, I'd like to wait here while you get ready." Captain Koby came in wearing simple faded black jeans, a white t-shirt and wore a black bandana instead of his usual floral one. He looked handsome just wearing something so simple. You weren't sure as to why he wanted to wait for you though. Maybe he thought you would bail on him? Whatever he hadn't saluted when he came in, so you decided not to dwell on it for long.

"It won't take long sir. I simply need change clothes and put on different shoes than we can leave."

"Ah you don't need to do makeup?" You raised an eyebrow at him not actually asking the question but it was evident on your face. "N-n-not that you need it, I just remember when I was training in Hina-san that she took a little whole to "doll herself up" as she liked to say."

The atomosphere became heavy and awkward, at least for him. He probably felt that he had opened a can of worms, and he was trying to find a way to apologize for an innocent enough question you decided.

"I don't have makeup. Never saw a reason to get any. I always make sure to try to keep my complexion clear and clean. Plus I never had a reason to put it on."

"Ah okay. Hehehe. I'll wait on one of the beds while you get ready."

He went further into sick bay while you went into your room to change your clothes. You decided to match the Captain, you wore black lose capri pants, black flats, and a white 3 quarter length sleeves. You were about to put up your hair into a ponytail, but decided to only put it up halfway. You rarely ever had your hair down, you decided that your week of leave would be a good time to do so. You quickly grabbed your satchel bag, with your Marine ID, and your money before looking for the Captain.

"Captain Koby, I like you will you go out with me?"

You stopped and hid behind a curtain by the window, not the best place to hide but whatever, you didn't feel like walking in on a confession.

"I'm sorry but I don't even know you. I'd feel bad going out with someone who had one sided feelings for me that I couldn't return."

"Why can't you return my feelings?" Her voice was whiny and annoying it grated on your ears at the same frequency that nails on chalkboard would do.

"As I said, I do not even know your name, and I am not looking for anything romantic."

That's a relief...isn't it?

"Then why are you going on a date with that stupid Ghoul bitch?" Ah true colors coming to light. "No one understands why you hang out with her. She is your exact opposite, she's gloomy, dark, depressing and sucks the life out of a person."

"ENOUGH!" You'd never heard Captain yell, let alone sound stern. To hear both in one word had you hold your breath. So even someone as cheerful as him can get angry every once in a while. "I will not allow you to berate Y/N-san. I do not like it when people talk bad about my friends when they haven't tried to get to know them. I would like to ask you to leave. Me and Y/N-san are going to hang out, and I would like you gone when she comes out."
