Chapter 26: What's happening?

*I want to take a moment to one appreciate the person who drew this picture of Koby. He's a little edgier in this photo which I love! Also there is a few more chapters and then this book will be on hiatus. Until 1. I watch One Piece Red and incorporate Koby's scenes in this book, 2. If we see him more in the manga.*

"This is a cute bandana miss. Is it for someone special?"

You'd snuck into this store in your civilian clothes and your black hat. Koby's red bandana with the yellow flowers had been torn during a raid. His glasses were what kept his hair out of his face. You thought it was cute but he hated it. After making your purchase without answering the sales girl, you waltzed out and made your way back to the ship. However on your way back you noticed something or rather someone you didn't want to be caught alone with.

Trafalgar Law...and was that Donquixote Doflamingo??! They were Warlords and technically weren't doing anything illegal, but they were definitely an odd pairing. Feeling your eyes on them they were about to turn to face you but you diverted your attention forward and continued to walk.

"Hello again Dr. L/N." The smooth voice was in front of you forcing you to come stare to stare with The Surgeon of Death. You were about to ask how he knew your name, but then again you'd been in the papers so you guessed it wasn't all that surprising.

"Mufufufu you know this little kitty Law?" The voice behind you would've startled you before if you hadn't awoken your observation haki a few months prior.

I don't know if I'm comfortable being called that by this weirdo.

"You should too Doflamingo. This is the one who stopped the assassination attempt on Sakazuki."

"Oh is that so. I don't know where's the scar? Mufufufu."

This guy is clearly a psycho.

He evidently was going on the assumption that since you were a girl you wouldn't want your scar to show. But you lifted the brim of your hat just enough for it to show.

"Oh so it is. How brave of you to save the raging volcano."

Yeah there's no sarcasm in that sentence whatsoever.

"May I be excused? I need to get back."

"Oh you can leave whenever you feel like little kitty. We were just curious at who was staring at us so intently."

"I'm pretty sure everyone was staring not just me." You went to side-step Trafalgar but he moved himself in front of you again.

"Something is different about you."

"Not really. Have a good day."

This time you moved away and took a breath. You'd felt like a fox caught in a trap between the two of them, and were thankful to be away from them. Only after a moment your feet had stopped moving. Shocked, you attempted to move with no luck. Using your haki you tracked it back to Donquixote. You couldn't see what held you there but whatever it was didn't feel too good at all.

"I thought I was free to go whenever I liked."

"Mufufufufu well I just realized that I haven't asked about your account of the incident."

Is he talking about that night? Why would he need to know?

"I was doing my rounds. Saw a man attempting to sneak into the Fleet Admiral's room when I made myself known he fled. You can imagine what transpired next." You pointed to your scar.
