After Captain Koby fainted in your arms, Helmeppo was the one who came to help you carry him back to the ship. What that pirate said still bugged you.

I doubt I would belong with a pirate crew any more than I do where I am. The problem isn't with the Navy or my fellow marines it's me who is the issue.

You didn't give yourself a whole lot of time to dwell on it though. The sooner you got him to the boat, the sooner you could start treatment. It was going to be a long next few days. Not only was he going to be a top priority patient, but you had thousands upon thousands of other people that you would need to keep track of for the next few days until HQ sent more people to help with damage control.

"Is he going to be okay Y/ N?" Helmeppo was worried you could tell, it was in the way he spoke and walked. He tried to hide his emotions by keeping the talking to a minimum something he didn't usually do, and he was staring straight ahead of himself.

"I'll know more once I am able t do a more thorough exam, by from what I can see, he'll be okay." Helmeppo visibly relaxed. "The sooner we get him to a stable environment the more I'll know."

You could feel yourself panicking and that was never a good thing. As a medic, you needed to remain calm amongst the chaos. When Captain Koby appeared in front of you to keep you from the Warlord, your heart had skipped a beat out of relief that he was okay. But the fact that he fainted so soon after helping you had you worried.

"Hey Y/N...I know tho might not be any of my business or noting and you probably don't even care but, I think Koby likes you...and I don't know what you went through in the past but he isn't like anyone you've ever met. So I guess what I'm saying is...give him a chance."

You didn't say anything, your only focus had to be on getting Captain Koby to a bed and starting treatment.

You're right...he isn't like anyone I've ever met."

-3 days later-

"What do we do about all the damage here?"
"No one died thank goodness but these people have to homes to return to."

I'd been 3 days of meetings. Since you were one of the higher ranking medics you were required to attend, but these meetings had nothing to do with the physical well-being of the civilians it was all about how to get their lives back on track.

Homes, businesses, schools, fisherman boats, you'd lost track of just how many different types of construction projects were going to be needed, and the budget to fix everything changed daily. It left you with a migraine just trying to remember everything.

"L/N, how are the civilian's mental health?" You turned to Vice Admiral Momonga who brought all attention to you.

"They'll need therapy but I don't believe there will.be much PTSD."

"Why's that?"

"No one died." You simply put. "Captain Koby made sure of that." You added that part a little more quietly, but loud enough to be heard by the rest of the table.

"How is he?"

"He's still unconscious but his vitals are steady."

Everyone at the meeting table grew quiet and frowned. You knew Captain Koby had been well-liked before but this just cemented that fact. You didn't want to alarm anyone but you were starting to worry about him and if he would ever wake up.

"We should get people places to eat and sleep first. Maybe apartment buildings would be best. But we should first make sure all the children are reunited with their families and that the orphans from the group homestay with the Sisters." You said your suggestion and then let your mind wander to the boy with pink hair.
