"Y/n, can you pass me that shovel please?" Zart asks and I sit back on my heels. Passing him the shovel, I wipe my brow.

"Here," Newt hands Zart and I each a water. I drink mine quickly while Zart sips on his. "I figured you could use that," Newt laughs. "You've been at it all day." I pull yet another weed out of the garden and toss it into my bucket with the others. "Come on, y/n, take a break." Newt urges. Standing up, I lift the bucket and turn to Zart.

"I'll be right back." I turn to go, forgetting what I was going to say. I take a few steps and remember. "All the weeds are done. What's next?"

"Take a break." Newt repeats. I chuckle.

"There's still stuff to do." I reply.

"No, it's okay. I'm about done here anyway. We'll do the rest tomorrow." Zart replies. "Take the rest of the night off."

"Fine," I grumble. I stalk off towards the Deadheads, bucket in hand. I take in my surroundings as I unload the bucket. This area is quite beautiful. Peaceful too. The way the sun shines through the trees, the flowers poking through the ground; it's all so beautiful. I sit at the bottom of one of the trees, only to hear rushing water in the distance. Following the sound, I come across this adorable little creek. I take off my shoes and allow my bare feet to be swallowed by the water. I relish the moment, kicking the water to splash it a little.

I spend the entire afternoon with my feet in the water and relaxing bedside the creek. As I listen to the soft trickling of water, I feel myself completely relax for the first time since I arrived in the Glade. Not a single muscle is tense and my mind is clear. Soon, I fall asleep.

I wake up to Frypan calling us to dinner. Stretching and yawning, I stand up, making my way to the kitchens.

"Where've you been all afternoon?" I jump. The first thing I see when I turn around is Minho's perfectly groomed hair.

"Around," I reply with a smirk.  Frypan passes me a plate with some meat, asparagus and potatoes on it. "Thanks Fry."

"What do you mean, around?" Minho asks, making me laugh more as I make my way to where Newt is seated.

"Hey Greenie, where have you been hiding?" Newt asks, sounding much like Minho, who is still trying to figure out where I've been.

"Around," I repeat. He raises an eyebrow and I roll my eyes. "Alright, if you must know, I took a nap." Minho scoffs.

"Of course you did." I start shovelling food into my mouth. "Hungry, are you?"

"Mhmm," I reply, slapping his hand away from my potatoes. I shovel more food into my mouth as he scowls.

"She skipped lunch," Newt explains, taking another bite of his food.

"That's stupid." Minho laughs.

"So are you," I retort.

"I know," he replies. "Wait. That's not-I didn't-that's not what I meant!" He stammers upon realizing what he said. Newt and I burst into laughter. "Shut up." He grumbles.

"You. Know. We. Are. Kidding." I gasp for air between each word.

"Yeah I do." He laughs. My laughing stops as soon as Minho stands up.

"What are you-" I start as Minho picks me up, throws me over his shoulder and starts running away from the table. "Minho! Put me down!" I scream.

"You gotta pay." He laughs. I finally squirm out of his grasp, landing on my butt with a thud.

"Ouch! What was that for?" I demand.

"Ha ha! Now I can take some of your food!" He laughs, running back towards the kitchen.

"Minho, no!" I scream, scrambling to my feet and chasing after him. I pass him and pull my food closer to me, protecting it from Minho's grasp. Newt looks up at me, a mixture of wonder and confusion in his eyes. Minho slows to a walk, sweat glistening on his forehead. He looks at me with the same look Newt is giving me.

"What-How-I-" Minho stammers, looking like he was having a stroke. Newt blinks a few times before pinching himself.

"What?" I ask, looking around to see many other Gladers staring at me as well. Slowly, I take a bite of my food, swallow and continue. "Why are you all looking at me like that?" I take a few more bites as Minho and Newt try to explain.

"You-Me-Run-I-What?" Minho asks, incredulous. Raising an eyebrow, I shake my head.

"How-Run-You-Him-You-" Newt tries but gives up.

"I used my feet to run." I reply sarcastically, finishing my food. "Well, I'll talk to you shuckfaces later." Standing up, I head to the Homestead. "Good night!" I call to the many confused faces.
