I must have fallen asleep at some point because I am jarred awake by the grinding of the Door closing. I sit up quickly, only to see Clint running towards me. I quickly get up, thinking something was wrong with Alby and quickly walk over to him.

"Y/n." He gasps, trying to catch his breath. "M-Minho wanted me to get you." He pants. "Something about needing all Runners in the Gathering hall?"

"Okay, thanks Clint." I say, making my way towards the Gathering Hall with him. "How's Alby doing?"

"I think he's going to make it, so thank goodness for that." He replies. He stops. "This is where we have to split up. I'm going to go check on him. Good luck."

"Thanks Clint. You too." I say, continuing towards the Gathering Hall. I walk in and can feel Newt's eyes on me but I avoid his gaze. I'm not so much angry at him anymore as I am sad. It hurts to look at him because every time I do, all I can picture is our fight. I look at Minho.

"Oh good, you're here." He says. "I think that's all the Runners now." He looks around and I see all the Keepers, like I knew I would and I see all the Runners. "Alright, we need to settle this, once and for all." Minho says.

"Minho, do we really-" Newt interjects.

"Yes, Newt, we do." Minho replies, looking at all the Runners. "How many of you, after what happened with Ben and Alby, are still willing to go out into the Maze to look for a way out?" He asks. I raise my hand and look around. Nobody else raises their hands. "See Newt? We need more Runners and Thomas is perfect for the job."

"I still don't think-"

"Excuse me?" I interject. "Why are we even questioning this? We need Runners and right now, all we have is Minho and I! Don't you guys want to get out of here?"

"Well, yeah but-"

"Then why not let him risk his life to save us all?"

"Who gave you the right to speak?" Gally asks.

"I did. In case you haven't realized, everyone here are a bunch of idiots." They stare at me, dumbfounded until Minho starts laughing.

"She just called us all out!" He laughs. "Maybe she's the only one here with any common sense!" He takes a moment to stop laughing as everyone stares at him, eyebrows raised. "Y/n, why do you want to be out in the Maze so much? Aren't you scared of getting Stung?"

"Of course I'm scared of getting Stung but if there is any way for me to get out of this shucking place, I'm going to take that risk." I reply. "Besides, getting Stung can't hurt much more than the pain I feel every day by being in the Glade." Everyone gasps when I say this, jaws dropping all around me.

"Y/n, I-" Newt starts.

"You know what I am thinking about what you should do with Thomas, now you need to figure out what you are going to do." I say, walking out of the room and towards the Deadheads.

I lay by my creek for a bit before deciding to go take a shower. I grab a set of my clothes from my area in the Homestead, dropping the outfit that Newt had given me on my first day here. I look at it, sadness creeping up on me. Nobody cares about me, huh? Well, I guess Newt will be wanting this back. I think to myself. I slowly walk up to Newt's room and place the outfit just outside his door then make my way to the showers.
