22.Ready...set and start

Clarke's POV

After Lexa left I found myself playing a game of cards with Madi and Finn. Lexa has seemed off before when she came in but I knew I could trust her and I knew that if she needed me to know what they were up to she would have told me.

A couple of minutes pass when Lexa burst into the tent and then walks up to me.

"Lexa what's wrong," I asked worried that something bad had happened. The look in her eyes had given her away. She looked terrified and worried at the same time. She pulled me aside just out of Finn and Madi's hearing.

"You and your people plus the reminding of my people are going to follow Octavia out and I will meet with you shortly." When those words left her mouth I immediately knew what was going on and I knew why she had been acting the way she had.

She turned around to leave when I followed her outside the tent. "Lexa..."I said while trying to catch up with her.

"Clarke you need to follow Octavia now" I knew Lexa wouldn't allow me to help even if I died trying to help her. "Clarke it's been years since you've had to fight I can't..."

Just then loud horns started playing and screams of heda came from the tent to my right. "Lexa"

"Fine, tell Octavia to take the rest and go the plan is still in motion. Gustus get ready" With that, I ran and did as Lexa told and before I left gave Madi a kiss on her forehead, I promise her that I would follow after her short but then it all clicked same as I wasn't coming nether was Lexa going to come.

I had been so focused on everything around me and the not talking to Lexa plus the whole Finn coming back thing that I hadn't realized what they were up to, it hadn't for a slit moment crossed my mind that something was has been happening right under my nose...but that wasn't important right now.

Madi and the rest left and I headed to the tent where I heard the scream come from before.

On my way there the scenarios started playing in my mind, they are more like memories of when Lexa died, when Madi almost died whenever something happened I felt the same, I put not just my heart first I also used my head and I tried. I tried to save everyone. Monty, Harper, Jasper, Maya, Anya I tried to save them all in all this I put myself last and put the people I care about first that's the point of this the point of saving humanity it the way we survive and try...we then try to not only survive but live as well.

I care about everyone and would do anything to ensure they are safe but somehow I always get blamed when things don't go as they intended and only Lexa understood that, she was the one person who saw and knew how hard it was to have to make such a decision.

Every time someone else took control all hell broke loose, when Finn tried to find us for example he couldn't handle the pressure and broke which lead to potential war and him killing 12 people...12 innocent people, then when Bellamy tried to take control once again all hell broke loose.

No one said that when we land we would live happily ever after and that's more than I deserve but I never expected it to end like this...me leaving all my friends and family. I might be leaving Madi and the rest but home is where Lexa is and that's where it will always be with her.

I got back into the tent and there was blood everywhere and no sign of Lexa. At this point my heart was racing, what if something happened to her, is she okay. I heard another scream come from outside with the sound of swords crashing.

Observing the room I picked up a dagger that I found laying on the ground filled with blood. Wiping the blood off I slowly exited the tent and headed towards where Gustus was standing over a body that looked a lot like Lexa's. In a panic, I ran up to the body and next to Gustus looking down only then had I noticed the brunette standing in front of her tent and identified the woman as an azgeda fighter.

"Lexa" I said as I ran up to her and embraced her in a hug. I knew Lexa would pull away because we are out in the open and it kinda isn't her style but I couldn't control it. To my surprise Lexa hadn't pulled away, she held me close until I pulled away. "I thought you got hurt. Don't scare me like that"the only thing Lexa did was nod her head and we walked on past the corpse and into the supply tent.

"We need to get to the River near the boat people it's our only chance of survival, Octavia will meet us there." Most of the warriors sent to fight have been killed off by the remaining people that did not intend and want to go with on the Ship. Just because they refused to join us on returning back to Earth, Heda was still Heda and they still had the utmost respect for her and would fight on her command. If she were to have told them that they needed to be on that ship without a dought they would have boarded but she believes that that is a choice not even she could make for them.

"Heda" we heard come from the distance. When the figure got more clear we had realized it was rider "Lexa wasn't he

" Yes Rider was supposed to be with Octavia and Raven on the Mini ship" Once Rider had caught up to us her gave Lexa a radio

"Heda Raven Kom Skykru said to hand this to you and inform you and Wanheda of the acid rain"The acid rain was but only the next step.

Lexa pressed the button and almost immediately Raven's voice appeared "So we have three problems first acid rain is headed your way fast, second our calculations were wrong the wave will hit in the next two days and last we cant find Clarke or Madi.

So I know I haven't updated but let's be honest I haven't had the best record of updating.

Only three more chapters to go and we are done with this book.

I really enjoy writing it but it's getting a bit boring honestly. I have so many ideas for new books and have started writing 2 new ones.

If I can honestly say the love Lexa has for Clarke honestly gets me every time🥺. Like she really before even admitting her feelings took Clarke's opinion into perspective😇 then she waits for Clarke to be ready for a relationship 🥰oh do not forget the fact that Clarke spat in her face 😤and she let it happen 🤗and then once again she takes Clarke's every word into a count🤭. So love that 🤤❤️❤️❤️
