The Other Side: Korra and Asami

Chapter 7: Confused

Asami scanned the place. She looked at the different faces and spirits. "Where am I? Who am I?" She then closed her hands and wrapped her arms around her legs.

"You're Asami, remember?" Korra said putting her hand on the non-bender's shoulder.

Asami looked at Korra and jerked her shoulder away from the avatar. She then immediately ran away from her.

Korra was shocked with what happened. "Asami!" Korra shouted.  Iroh placed a hand on her shoulder. "Give her some space to think."

Asami ran as fast as she can with her head clouded. She didn't looked at where she was going. She then stopped and fell on her knees. She slammed her fists on the ground. "Who am I?" She screamed.

The forest turned dark. The screech of different spirits was heard. Then their screech turned into  laughter.

She sobbed on the ground with her ears covered by her hands. Her confusion made the laughter louder. The endless echo of laughter clouded her mind.

Chiki saw darkness far away. He followed it until he saw  a person sobbing on the ground. He went closer and saw Asami.

Chiki sat down beside the non-bender. "Hello!" He said. Asami didn't mind him. Chiki looked around; it was dark.

"You should try to clear your mind so this place won't be so dark. Whatever is happening inside your mind affects this place."

Asami stopped crying and wiped her tears. "I can't remember who I am."

"I'll try to help you."

"Okay. How will I get rid of this dark place?"

"Try thinking of what makes you happy."

Asami looked up. Thinking really hard. Then she realized,  I like to build things.
The darkness slowly disappeared.

Asami stood up. "Now I remember! I'm a mechanic! I like to build things!" Asami screamed and started to jump in joy.

"That's great!" Chiki said and joined the non-bender celebrate.

The darkness and  laughter disappeared. The blue sky returned with the beautiful giant lilypads and the flourishing flowers.

The two stopped jumping from joy.
"Oh I forgot to introduce myself , my name is Chiki."

"It's nice to meet you." Asami said

"I can bring you to my friends, I think they can help you bring back your memories."

"Really?"

"Yes. Let's go back to the hut."

On the way to the hut, Asami asked who Chiki's friends was. "The ones you saw when you woke up, Iroh and Korra. Plus, the other spirits."

"Oh! I guess I made a bad impression to them."

"Its fine. You were just shocked."

Sorry for really the LATE upload. I hope I can post more chapters as often as I could since summer is fast approaching which means I have more time to write.
