The Other Side: Korra and Asami

Chapter 15

The wind blew through Asami's hair as she opened her arms wide, embracing the clouds they pass through. Asami screamed "Yeah" in joy as they flew in the sky.

"Come on buddy, can you go a bit faster?" Asami asked?

The bison grunt loud in response. Asami tightend her grip to the bison's fur. "I'm ready!"Asami said

The bison suddenly dived in the sky as Asami screamed at the top her lungs. Their speed increased and the wind gushed faster to them. The drop was so fast, Asami saw the dark liquid within seconds.

"P-p-pull up!! Ahhhh" Asami screamed.

The bison didn't pull up as they they image of the ocean was clearer. Asami continued to scream as they came closer to the water. Asami closed her eyes, took a deep breath and tightened her grip before they plunged into the water. The bison chuckled a loud as he pulled up while the non bender stiffened her body. The bison continued to chuckle as he slowed,flying closely to the water.

Asami opened her eyes as she heard the bison laugh. She blinked her eyes and realized that it was over. "Hahaha, you got me. I really got scared. You're one dare devil huh." Asami said while patting the bison.

"Please don't do that ever again." Asami pleaded.

The bison slowly drop to the water and floated as the sun set. The orange rays that cover the sky put the two in awe.

"I wish Korra was here to see this." Asami murmured.

Korra. . . Avatar Korra. The avatar has been protecting me. She's always around and ready to help. Why is the avatar doing this? She has a lot of things to do than just be around me. But I'm happy with her and I feel light when I'm with her. There is something about her. Maybe . . . I like her. I must be delusional, having feelings for the avatar. Just thinking about her must mean something. I hope I remember again.

The bison continued to float on the water but a sudden mist filled the place. It was dark and there were no lights as they were the only ones in the ocean. They continued to float on the calm water in the dark mist. The bison groaned as it bumped to land. The mist slowly disappeared.

"I've been waiting for you." A deep voice said.

Asami went down the bison. Her face was scrunched when she took a step closer to the voice. "Who are you?"

Asami closed her eyes and covered her face with her arm as the sudden burst of wind cleared the air. "Come on Asami, don't be scared." The voice said in a soothing tone.

The non bender slowly put her arms down and opened her eyes and saw the avatar in front of her. Asami hugged Korra immediately when she saw the avatar.

Korra hugged the non bender tightly and took a deep breath. "How was your day?" Korra asked

"Where have you been?" Asami asked.

"I was out investigating about the incident."

"I mi . . ." Asami stopped before she before Korra heard her.

"What?" Korra said.

"Nothing. By the way, thank you for the surprise. I really like the bison you gave me."A sami said with a smile.

"Oh, that? That's not the surprise silly." Korra chuckled. "Come on." Korra pulled the arm of the non bender as she walked briskly and then suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" Asami asked worriedly.

Korra faced the non bender "you have to close your eyes or else the surprise will be ruined." The avatar said.

The non bender closed her eyes. Korra placed her hand at the back of the non bender to guide her as they walked.

"Okay. Now you can open your eyes." Korra said.

The non bender slowly opened her eyes and in front of her were candles that made a path to the gazebo. The avatar slowly slipped her hand to have her hand intertwined with the non bender. The avatar smiled while the non bender blushed so much. The non bender bit her lips as she giggled in joy. When they reached the gazebo the avatar faced the non bender and held both of her hands.

The avatar took a deep breath and looked into the glimmering eyes of the non bender.

"This is the surprise." Korra smiled then continued " A dinner beside the beach. Plus, a vacation from all crazy things that just happened. I just want to spend more time with you. I want you to know that I am here for you. I'll protect you. I know you lost your memory but we can make new ones and this is our chance to do so" Korra said.

The non bender smiled.

While Korra said her speech to Asami, the bison creeped at the back the gazebo and licked the food off the table.

The two was startled by the shattering plates. Korra looked to her side and saw the the bison's head in the gazebo and burped a loud. "No!!! It took me so much time to cook that! UGHH!!" Korra said, annoyed.

Asami subtly hugged Korra from the back. "Its okay." Asami said calmly.

Korra took her hand "There's a cookie in the house I built. We can eat that for dinner. So much for an extravagant dinner." Korra sighed.

The two went to the house and took the cookies in the kitchen. Korra toured Asami in the house while they ate the cookies. They stopped at the room with the balcony which was in front of the beach.

"Its beautiful." Asami said as she leaned to the railing while watching the moon illuminate the night sky.

"Yes, she is."Korra responded as she watched Asami lean. The avatar went closer to the non bender. Her heart pounded so loud. The avatar leaned towards the non bender at awe.

Asami noticed the avatar starring at her. "What's wrong?"Asami asked

"Hmm? Nothing." Korra said

"Okay. . .then stop starring at me like there's something on my face." Asami joked

"I can't." Korra smiled

"Why not?"

Korra stepped closer, slowly moved towards Asami until their lips were an inch apart. The avatar continued to stare at the non bender under the moonlight. Asami started to breathe heavily but she pushed herself forward.

Their lips touched and sparks flew. Korra placed her hands on Asami's hips and pulled her closer. The non bender wrapped her arms around the avatar's neck.
