The Other Side: Korra and Asami

Chapter 23

"The avatar killed my father." Asami continued to to stare into the avatar's eyes and pushed her away.

"That's not true, Asami. I will never do that." Korra replied.

"I remember it clearly." Asami said.

"We were working on capture the flag. The lights turned off then the window broke. You ran everywhere in my home. You trapped my father in the room and burned the house down. You left him to die there. Marco was there to help me escape." Asami paused. Tears fell from her eyes.

"How can you do that? You're the avatar. You're supposed to bring balance and not chaos." Asami shouted.

The avatar watched the non-bender cry. She went closer and held the non-bender's hand. "I'm sorry, Asami. But that's not true. They're all lies." The avatar said.

Asami started hitting the avatar shoulders. "I saw it with my own eyes. You're the liar."

"Asami, I'm telling you the truth. I love you and I will never do anything to hurt you." Korra answered.

Korra started breathing heavily and the ground started to shake. Korra carried Asami. "We need to go. The train is about to break."

"I hate you, avatar. Let go off me." Asami screamed and continued hitting the avatar's shoulders.

Korra went out of the train while carrying Asami. The sky was grey. Rain started to pour while lightning and thunder strikes the ground.

"Oh no. Not again." Korra exasperated.

"Naga!" Korra screamed. She continued to run forward but the polar bear dog can't be seen.

Lightning strikes infront of them. The ground exploded. Korra lost grip of Asami. They both fell on the ground and passed out.

"Korra, what happened to you?" a deep voice said.

Korra slowly opened her eyes and saw Asami on the ground. She tried to reach out to the non-bender but fainted. "Asami..." Korra sighed.

"Don't force yourself. You'll be safe now." The man said.

Korra woke up. "Asami!" She shouted.

She bounced off the bed and ran out of the door. She saw Iroh outside with Chiki and Lily. She walked to them.

"Iroh! It's so good to see you. Where's Asami? What happened?" Korra asked.

"Hello, avatar. Chiki  felt you were in trouble so we went looking for you. We saw you and Asami passed out on the rocks." He replied.

"Is Asami hurt?" She asked.

"She's okay. She just need to rest." He said. "Come have some tea."

Korra sat next to lily while Iroh poured tea on the cup. Korra picked it up and sipped some tea.

"Asami got her memory back but. . ." Korra's grip on the cup tightened.  She then continued, "She thinks I killed her father in the fire accident that happened in her house." the avatar started to shiver.

"She hates me. I'm a monster in her eyes." She sobbed. Chiki flew to the avatar and hugged her. Lily hugged the avatar too.

"I'm sorry to hear that, avatar." Chiki said.
