...
It was morning, the sun had just risen, and I was wandering around the entrance halls of Imladris, admiring its beauty. In one hour, I would need to be present to the council of Elrond, and he had officially let me know yesterday evening. Arwen told me that Aragorn would be there, and he also let me know, almost as if searching for a close friend to be there, besides the high elves and the hobbits.
Before long, I saw Aragorn appear, striding across the river hall, and through the cascade walkway, as I stood, waiting for him to notice me.
"Enjoying your walk?" I said after a few moments.
His eyebrows went up in surprise, but his facial expression remained the same as he turned to me. As soon as he locked eyes with me I saw the little boy I knew, years ago.

"Estel!" I exclaimed sternly, rushing after little Aragorn who was laughing in his stride.
"Fine!" The boy sighed and turned to me, making me halt.
"What made you halt?" I asked him incredulously, watching the boy curiously.
"Ah, have you tired?" I continued, the corners of my lips going up slightly.
"No! Yet I could not bring about the Lady's exhaustion from chasing one such as-" He began with a smirk, yet I interrupted him.
"Alright!" I exclaimed, putting my hand up, making him pause.
"Get inside and keep your clever remarks to yourself, little one!" I told him, beginning to walk back towards the house of Elrond with him.
"I am not little!" He began in outrage, which amused me.
Indeed, he was now seventeen years of age, yet he still appeared little, as he was one of the Dúnedain, blessed with long life.
"Stop saying that to me," He continued in an annoyed mutter.
"Come Estel," I chuckled, and walked on with him trailing behind me.

"Avriel," The now man, smiled lightly.
"Aragorn," I greeted him as well, with a laugh.
"I was just about to get going to the council, care to join?" He asked politely.
"Sure," I smiled, as we started to exit the hall and cross the entrance courtyard together.
"What more do you know about today?" I asked as we walked.
"Which others will be at this council?" I clarified.
"Besides hobbits," I added.
"Elves," He replied simply.
"Tul- bo, Estel," I laughed along with him. (Come on,)
