chapter seventeen.
"What's Wrong With Me?"

Lilith shoves her keys into her front door, unlocks it, pushing it open, and walks in going straight towards the stairs not caring to say hello to whoever was in her living room. Her feet come to a quick stop, and she slowly turns around as out the corner of her eye she sees a familiar person sitting on their living room couch, on his phone.

"What are you doing here?" Lilith asks her father. She walks back down the stairs, drops her bag onto the ground, and walks into her living room where he was at.

Hearing the door shut, and his daughter's voice he sets phone down, and pushes himself off the couch so he's able to properly look at her.

"I was near the neighborhood, I thought I would stop by for a little while."

"Okay, so why are you here? As in, in this house?"

Jeff lets out a small sigh as he folds his arms. "I've found a new job in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. I'm leaving Beacon Hills in two weeks, and I just wanted to see my two lovely daughters before I make everything official and sell my house. I am your father after all, so I thought it would be good to say goodbye before I left."

Lilith stares at her father for a moment before finally speaking up. "No." She plainly says.

"No?" He asks.

"No." She slowly shakes her head. "You're not my father, nor are you Lydia's father." She tries to speak as respectfully as she can.

"So what am I then, if I'm not your father?"

"I like to think you're just a sperm donor." She bluntly says. "Lydia doesn't take after you in any way, she's more like mom. And I don't take after you either." She lies. Lydia did take after her mother, but Lilith took a lot after her father; they were similar in many ways, that's why she forced herself to change becoming who she was now, so that she doesn't see any of her father in her.

"Lilith, it was years ago, you have to get over it. You're 16, it happened when you were 4!"

"And it lasted until I was fourteen! Ten fucking years!" She finally breaks. "Obviously I'm not going to get over it, it ended two years ago!"

"I said I was sorry." Jeff remains calm despite his daughter yelling at him.

"You only said you were sorry because you got caught, and mom found out you threatened me to not tell her. If you never got caught fucking your assistant, you would've never said sorry!"

"I know... and I regret what I did to you, your sister, and your mother every single day.

"You can't just say sorry and think everything will be okay. You manipulated me for years, and when I learned what you were actually doing, and wanted to tell mom you threatened to send me away to boarding school! Actually you did send me to boarding school, therapy too, you made me feel crazy!" Lilith says, tears stinging in her eyes as everything that had happened in her childhood floods through her mind.
