𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘
chapter thirty-two.
"Apologizes, and Arguments."

While Scott and Stiles, as well as Derek rush off to go chase after the kanima - who's Jackson - tracking what little scent it has, Allison drives the twins back to their house. The eldest out of the three force Lilith to lay flat in the backseat of her car, wanting her to rest while she drives; not wanting Lilith to drive herself and her sister home after what she encountered with Isaac. Lilith lays down, trying to get her mind off the large amount of pain she's feeling, not caring to listen or engage in the conversation Allison and Lydia are having.

Once the two girls finish their conversation the twins get out of Allison's car - saying a small thank you - and walk/limp up their long driveway; neither saying a word to each other. Neither knowing how to properly approach the topic that's causing thick tension between the two. When they get to their front door, Lydia reaches into her purse, grabs her keys, and unlocks the front door; pushing it open so they can both walk in.

Hearing the front door shut, and get locked their mother pushes herself off their living room couch and meets the girls in the foyer. Lydia stands in front of the door for a moment, while Lilith walks past both her sister and mother, heading towards the kitchen. Noticing something off in her daughter's appearance, Natalie follows Lilith into the kitchen; when she walks in she sees Lilith grabbing a handful of ice, placing it in a small towel.

She places the ice onto her swollen eye. She turns around and quickly jumps back at the sight of her mom, "Oh, my God! You scared me." Lilith says, trying to avoid looking at her.

Lydia walks into the kitchen after the two of them, but instead she walks into their pantry, wanting a snack to eat. She digs through their shelves for a moment before pulling out a granola bar. Lydia leans on her elbows as she unwraps her granola bar. Taking a bite out of it she turns to her mom, and back to her sister, wanting to know how their conversation will play out.

"Are you really going to make me ask?" Natalie asks her daughter who's covered in bruises, cuts, and blood.

Lilith just shrugs her shoulders.

"Lilith, what happened?" She asks. Natalie keeps her voice calm, despite wanting to rush over to her daughter and help her, but knowing Lilith won't accept any love or help, she stays where she's standing. Lilith's eyes slowly move away from her mom, and towards her sister who's on her left. The twins make eye contact for a quick moment. "No. Lilith, no, stop looking at her. I'm asking you this question, not her."

Lilith's whole body tenses as her mind struggles to come up with a reasonable lie, hoping Lydia won't call her out on it. She slowly moves the ice away from her eye, and places it on the counter in front of her. Her eyes jump to Lydia for a split second before turning back to her mom.
