𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘
chapter fourteen.
"Speaking Out of Anger."

The two teenagers walk up the McCall family's porch and towards the front door, he reaches his hand into his pocket and pulls out a key chain full of keys. Flipping through the key chain, the boy picks the one he needs and sticks it in the keyhole, twisting it open. With the keys still in the door he pushes it open, and walks in side by side.

"Scott?" Melissa calls out as she stands in the dining room, hearing the front door open not knowing it was Stiles and Lilith, not her son.

"Stiles and Lilith." Stiles says. Melissa walks out from behind the wall to see her son's two best friends, two kids who were her own children that she didn't give birth to.

"Key?" She points to Stiles' hands.

"Yeah, you made a bad mistake telling him to get one... because he made one. He also made one for my house." Lilith says, giving the mother a half smile.

"That doesn't surprise me. It scares me, but doesn't surprise me."

Stiles gives Melissa a big smile as he tosses his duffle bag onto the ground, his body hurting from how heavy it was, making his back and arms hurt. Once the bag hits the ground, the chains in it clank together causing the mom to glance down at the bag, back up to the two kids, and once again back down to the bag.

"What is that?" She asks, pointing her finger down to the bag.

"Uh-" Stiles starts, trying to think of an excuse to come up with.

"It's for a school project." Lilith cuts him off. Unlike Stiles she quickly comes up with a random excuse before Stiles could say something stupid and blow their cover of what they were about to do- the reason why they were there in the first place.

"Hmm." She hums, slowly nodding her head. "He's okay, right?"

"Who? Scott? Yeah, totally!"

"He just doesn't talk to me that much anymore, not like he used to at least."

"Teenagers man, they're all assholes." Lilith says, looking around the entryway, a room she's never stayed in longer than three minutes until today.

"Lilith..." Melissa says grabbing the younger girls attention.

"Hm?" She hums.

"Honey, you're a teenager."

"Yeah, and I can be an asshole too... sometimes."

"More of a bitch in my eyes, but sure that works too." Stiles mumbles to himself, forgetting Lilith was next to him.

"What did you just call me?" She aggressively turns to him.
