𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘
chapter forty.
" Screw Matt Daehler. "

"Hello?" Lilith speaks into her phone that she holds in between her shoulder and ear. She walks around her backyard and house with a large black trash bag in her hands. Since her mom and Lydia still aren't home, Lilith is the one left to clean the dirty house. Usually she wouldn't bother cleaning up after Lydia's mess, but today, after what happened, she needs something to clear her mind, and cleaning is the perfect solution she needs. Since teenagers have a tendency to destroy the house where the party takes place — especially when it's at her house — Lilith has been walking around for over forty six minutes, trying to clean everything she can. She constantly crouches down, grabs trash that's laying around, and tosses it into her almost filled bag she's holding — this being her second bag she's filled.

"Are you still mad at us by any chance?" Scott asks from the other side of the phone. He glances between Stiles' father — Noah Stilinski — and Stiles, the three of them standing in Noah's old office at the sheriff's station.

She sighs. "No. I was never mad at you guys. I was just a bit disappointed. It's whatever though."

"That's good... not that you're disappointed, but that you're not mad—" Stiles takes a deep breath, collecting his thoughts. "Would you be willing to help us with something?" He reaches forward, grabs onto Scotts hand, and brings the boy's phone closer to him so Lilith can hear him clearly.

"How important is it? Because I'm cleaning up from the party and there's a lot to clean up." She states, looking around her house, wondering how she's barely made a dent in the mess. She sighs, wishing her sister never left her alone with the huge mess; help would be appreciated.

"Very important!" Stiles exclaims. "As in we need you at the sheriff's station, right now."

"The sheriff's station?" She questions. "What are you doing there? You told me your dad got laid off..." She pauses, trying to come to a conclusion. "Did you break into the sheriff's station?"

He cuts to the chase, ignoring her accusation. "We know whos been causing the murders..." Stiles glances at his dad. "We now know who killed the pregnant woman." He refers to the one murder that wasn't caused by the kanima. "Now, I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I'm about ninety two percent positive that you have evidence on your phone that can help prove this case further."

"On my phone? How do you know what I have on my phone?"

"I have your password."

"What– Stiles, you can't go through my phone, I have things in there that I don't want you seeing."

"Yeah," Stiles scowells. "I saw some things I wish I never saw... There were some things I didn't mind seeing, though. They were pleasant."

"Stiles, I swear to God if you saw my n–"
