It had been a decent amount of time since they started dating. And it was only right that every so often they did something somewhat unlike them and go on dates to places they often wouldn't. One evening, they decided to go not somewhere fancy but some kind of nice place to eat so it was kinda like a traditional dates you'd see in movies but this is gay so it will be better. They were both nervous as they often acted like teenagers for dates despite nearly both being adults (one just turned 18 the other 18 in like just under a month). Taka anxiously waited for his boyfriend to knock at his door so they could go together. He was used to him being late, that's just how he was, but it was taking a lot longer than usual. The longer time went on and quickly passed, the more nervous and worried Taka got, until he eventually practically jumped out of his seat due to a loud bang on the door. He quickly regained himself and took a breath before going to the door to meet his boyfriend. He opened the door and immediately grinned when he saw him. "Hey Taka!" His boyfriend said with a nervous grin. "Mondo!" Taka said excitedly, giving him a hug. Taka then pulled back in slight realisation. "Where's your bike?" He asked, confused. "Well, I just thought it'd be nice if we just walked to where we're goin' instead, gives us more time to ourselves," Mondo said smiling. "Oh... that's a great idea! Well, do you want to go then?" Taka asked. Mondo nodded. They left the house together and walked to where they were going hand in hand. It didn't take them too long to get to their destination, but long enough that it was just the right amount of time alone together with no one around. They had to then deal with the usual restaurant stuff to get seated and whatever else, you know, the boring part. But they eventually sat down and decided on shit (why is eating food in public seen as so romantic?) Their waiter came along and asked about drinks. "I'm gonna have this alcohol," Mondo said, unspecified as the writer has no idea what kind of alcohol he'd drink so leaves it to you instead and does that the whole time. "Why are you having that?" Taka asked, slightly shocked. "Cuz I'm 18 now and can buy it," Mondo said overenthusiastically. "I can get you something as well if ya want," he suggested. Taka stayed silent for a minute. "Okay, but I'd have no idea what to get," Taka said. Mondo shrugged. "I'll buy you some shit I think you'll like then," Mondo said, turning to the waiter, who looked slightly concerned. "Not that it's any of my business but what's the age difference in your relationship?" The waiter asked, rather worriedly. "I dunno, I can' math," Mondo said laughing. "I think something like a month and 22 days? Something along those lines," Taka said quickly guessing. The waiter no longer looked as worried, then walked off to get their drinks. "This is so weird, in a good way of course! I just never expected us to go to a restaurant, and now we are, it feels weird," Taka said in thought. "Well, I'm with ya, and as long as that's the case, I couldn' give a shit," Mondo said with a smile. Taka turned red. "Don't be so cheesy," he said, laughing slightly. "Well, I love ya, I... yeah," Mondo said, clearly about to say something, but deciding against it. Their waiter came with their drinks pretty much immediately after that conversation, and then asked what they wanted to eat. They gave it and then the waiter was off again. "Mondo? Are you okay? You seem really uncomfortable," Taka said worriedly, taking one of Mondos hands into his own. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine, sorry I'm just deep in thought," Mondo said, trying to make sure Taka would stop worrying. "Okay, I'll believe you just this once," Taka said with a smile on his face, trying to lighten the mood slightly. Mondo had to smile. They ended up just talking, and having really deep conversations they never expected themselves to really have, but it's not like that was a bad thing, it was really great, and it also felt like a whole new level of their relationship. Time passed quickly (and so did the alcohol) and it suddenly was time to pay for the food. It had only just felt as if they had just walked in. They split it between them and then Mondo paid more as he had to pay for the alcohol, which Taka insisted he still paid equal but Mondo wouldn't listen. They were also rather drunk so couldn't really work all of it out anyway. They left and rather awkwardly stumbled back to Taka's house while their arms were around each other. They eventually found it and Taka tried to open the door but struggled because he was drunk. Mondo however managed to open it despite being worse then Taka, but then he had more experience. "Taka, I have to go home," Mondo said, attempting to whisper as it was late. "No," Taka said, sloppily putting a finger over Mondos mouth to shush him, "You're drunk, so stay here the night," Taka finished, leading Mondo upstairs to his room. "I've got shit for stuff like this right?" Mondo asked. Oh, keep in mind their words would be slurred, I just have no idea how someone writes that. Taka nodded. They eventually managed to get in there and got ready so they could go to bed. "You know, you're really hot?" Mondo said while they were changing. "So are you," Taka said. They both had really cheesy smiles on their faces because this wasn't meant in a 'I'm drunk and horny' kind of way. It was meant in a 'I'm drunk and really in love with you so I'm just saying what I think' kind of romantic way. They eventually managed to change and tried to get in bed, which wasn't all too successful but better than nothing. Mondo was laying down while Taka had his head resting on Mondo's chest, it was often the other way around but they were too drunk to care. "You know, how I like, stopped speaking about something, at the very beginning of the date?" Mondo asked. "Sure," Taka said, really not sure. "Well, I was gonna say that, I love ya, and before I fell in love with y it felt like my life had no meaning, but now? I see a purpose in my life. It's not like before I didn' wanna live or anythin' I just didn' have a proper purpose in my life before ya, and now yer here, it's been great. I don't care if we're only 18, I just wanna spend the rest of my life with ya, cuz yer truly the greatest thing to 'ave happened to me," Mondo said, his words slurring more every second cuz he was getting tired. But Taka still made it out and fell in love with Mondo more. "I wanna do, the same, 'cause I really think you're the best thing to happen to me," Taka said, sighing happily. They both started to get rather tired but neither would fall asleep for a while as they just couldn't, they'd get tired but were so used to making themselves stay awake till early in the morning that they physically couldn't sleep when they felt tired. So for a while it was just drunk rambles about how much they loved each other. And the odd other thing thrown in between. "Do you reckon if we were a straight couple people would praise us more?" Mondo said randomly. "What the fuck do you mean by that?" Taka said, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. "Well, you know how in movies, an' real shit, the straight couple is always praised, well, we act like them but with a healthy relationship an' shit, so if we were straight, would we?" Mondo asked. "Well, maybe, but if we were in a movie we would lose appeal cuz we were straight and only liked cuz we're gay," Taka said jokingly. (I'm looking at you literally every 12 year old that fetishises gay men). "Probably," Mondo said, laughing slightly. "You're really warm, and nice to hug, you're just like a teddy bear," Taka said, snuggling into Mondo more. "Thanks?" Mondo said, unsure of how to take the compliment. "I wish I could sleep," Taka then said annoyed. "I'm tired as fuck, and being drunk doesn't help," Taka said, still sounding pissed off. "We're drunk?" Mondo said, shocked. "I think, if not then I feel it, not that I would know what that feels like," Taka said grumpily. "Oh well, I 'ave ya! That's fine by me," Mondo said, holding Taka close. "Seriously, stop being cheesy, I might punch you," Taka said laughing. "But you can't, it's difficult if I hold you like this," Mondo said, squeezing Taka tighter, and holding him close enough that he wouldn't be able to move his arms. "Mondo stop," Taka said laughing. They're gay if you couldn't tell, man I want a relationship like this. "Okay fine," Mondo said, loosening his grip. "... I actually want you to let go Mondo, not just loosen up and still hold onto me," Taka said struggling. "Please?" Mondo asked, feigning sadness. "Fine," Taka said, stopping the struggle and a small smile on his face. He was fine with Mondo letting go, he'd never admit it but he really liked it and felt rather clingy, but like I said, something he'd never admit, no matter how drunk he was. "I love you Taka," Mondo mumbled out, and it was slightly muffled too considering he was resting his face on Taka's chest. I should probably explain that. It started off with Mondo laying face up and Taka laying his head on his chest, but with them being drunk and messing around, they're now currently in each other's arms facing each other, Mondo had just lowered his head slightly so his face is now resting just underneath Taka's shoulder so practically just on his chest. "I love you too Mondo," Taka said, feeling himself warm slightly. No matter how long they'd be together, Taka always blushed when Mondo said he loved him, sure gestures and subtle ways of saying it he loved too, but hearing the actual words of 'I love you' never failed to make him feel like he had butterflies. He was suddenly pulled out of his deep thought about how in love he was when he heard simultaneously loud and muffled yawns coming from Mondo. He smiled slightly and decided to close his eyes too. And he eventually fell asleep.

Neither of them had any memory of getting home or how they ended up in bed or anything from the night before when they started to get drunk. And they felt dreadful because they now had a hangover. But hey, they were fine, cuz as Mondo kept saying, they had each other right, and that was enough.

I FINALLY MANAGED TO GET SOMETHING OUT FUCK YEAH

I'll get more out soon I hope, I'm just working on so many fics that are like really detailed. One of them being like 5/6000 words in and I've literally just got to the main plot point (,:
