It was late in the evening.
Long days at work were over and the pair just wanted to chill out.
It had been a long week with longer and harder days. It was finally near the end. They deserved the break.
So they decided to just wear the most comfortable clothes they could find, eat shitty unhealthy food, and watch TV.
They cuddled up on their sofa watching whatever looked the best the tv could offer as they couldn't be bothered to find stuff and download it or anything like that.
But it wasn't the easiest thing to agree on.
"Mondo, can you hurry up and pick something already?"
"I'm tryin' my best Taka, tv is shit."
It was true. A lot of the stuff to watch was shit.
"Okay, so find whatever looks the shittiest to watch but enough we can mock it," Taka suggested.
"That's not too bad actually," Mondo said, agreeing with Taka.
So they found some shit tv show that was about something. You know those really crappy TLC shows that have my strange addiction or nightmare neighbours and all that bs? Yeah something like that.
One of the things that came up was marriage.
"Taka, I'd totally marry ya," Mondo said in thought.
"Huh?" Taka said, not focusing but now turning his attention to Mondo.
"I said I'd totally marry ya bro," Mondo said repeating himself.
"Honestly, so would I," Taka said with a small shrug.
"Are ya bein' serious?" Mondo said, thinking Taka was joking.
"Yes, I would genuinely marry you," Taka said.
"Were you being serious though?" Taka asked.
"Yeah," Mondo said honestly.
"Did we just get engaged?" Mondo asked, surprised.
"Yeah I guess so," Taka said, not at all upset by it.
"Huh, cool," Mondo said, pretty chill with it.
"I mean, I was gonna start maybe talking about marriage if it was something we were both interested in soon but I guess we don't have to," Taka said, adjusting himself on the sofa and Mondo.
"Same, huh, so when do you wanna get married?" Mondo asked, doubting an answer.
"I don't care," Taka said.
"Fair enough I guess, bro, I get to have ya for the rest of my life now, that's fucking great," Mondo said with a grin.
"Nice bro, we get to be lifelong bros while being gay so not really bros but I don't care," Taka said smiling.
So yeah that's how Mondo and Taka accidentally got engaged but it ended pretty well and lasted their whole lives so.
