🖤💖(OMEGA X) Song Hangyeom - Entomophobia

Everyone was chilling at the dorms as they finally had an off day. Hangyeom and hwichan were hanging out in taedong's room playing a video game peacefully while a scheme was brewing in the next room.

Jaehan, hyuk, and xen were planning a prank on hangyeom. They knew that hangyeom was afraid of bugs and he screamed every time he saw one. They had a fake cockroach and were planning on tossing it into taedong's room to scare the younger.

Xen was the smallest, so it was his job to sneakily crawl over to the door and release the toy cockroach without being detected. He crawled over quietly and very slowly pushed the door open slightly. he tossed the fake bug into the room right by hangyeom's foot and slid back to the others.

The other boys were focused on their game until hangyeom glanced down to the floor. he spotted the slimy brown insect and screamed loudly retracting his foot from the floor and jumping up on taedong's bed dropping his controller to the ground.

The pranksters in the hallway started laughing when they heard the scream and slowly made their way into the room.

Hangyeom was freaking out. The bug was so close to his foot, what if it crawled on him? what if there were more of them? He curled up in a ball as his body began to tremble in fear, his heart beating extremely fast.

"woah! Hangyeom-ah what's wrong?!" Hwichan asked quickly noticing the boy's distress.

"th...there's a...a cockroach!!" he screamed scotting as far back on the bed as he could. He felt like things were crawling on his skin, small furry legs traveling up his limbs, the flutter of wings near his ears, the horrifying thought of a thousand insects crawling over him. he scratched at his skin as his brain convinced him there was something on him. it was all psychosomatic of course, but to hangyeom it felt all too real.

Taedong and hwichan quickly jumped to the floor in search for the insect.

Taedong reached down and picked up the plastic bug his eyebrows furrowing in disappointment.

"it's not a real cockroach hangyeom, it's just a toy." Taedong reassured but was startled to find the boy still very distressed. He shot hwichan a worried and confused glance and they both quickly sat on the bed next to him.

"hangyeom-ah? Hey, are you okay?" hwichan asked placing a soft hand on his shoulder.

The boy had slow tears rolling down his cheeks as he clutched his knees, his nails scratching the skin of his arms and legs aggressively.

Just then the prank-doers entered the room laughing expecting to find an angry but slightly amused hangyeom but instead saw the boy crying and breathing rapidly as he scratched himself violently.

"did you do this?" taedong asked in a firm tone.

"wait, what's going on? Why is hangyeom crying?" jaehan asked quickly.

They all watched as hwichan desperately tried to calm the panicking boy.

"we don't know but he started freaking out when he saw the cockroach." Taedong informed throwing the plastic roach at the boys.

"well, why is he crying? It's just a toy." Hyuk said feeling worried and confused.

Suddenly sebin, kevin, and yechan came in upon hearing the commotion.

"what's going on in here?" sebin asked.

"we, we were playing a prank on hangyeom by putting a fake cockroach in his room but now he's crying and freaking out." Xen explained.

Sebin's eyes went wide.

"oh my god are you crazy!?" sebin yelled.

"what? It was just a harmless prank?" xen said confused.

"it's not harmless if the person you're pranking has Entomophobia!"

The boys all looked dumbfounded.

"ento-what!?" jaehan said puzzled.

Sebin pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.

"Entomophobia, the extreme phobia of insects you idiots!" sebin scolded.

The boys all felt like they had been punched in the stomach.

"oh shit- hyung we didn't know! Oh god we're so sorry!" hyuk squeaked as his guilt washed over him.

Sebin quickly rushed over to hangyeom taking him from hwichan.

"hangyeom? Hey, it's sebin can you look at me yeom-ah?"

Hangyeom slowly rose his head to meet sebin's eyes.

"you're okay baby, there's no bugs here I promise, the crawling is all in your head okay? Stop scratching please baby." Sebin very gently removed hangyeom's hands from his skin wincing at his raw red skin from his excessive scratching.

"is...is the cockroach gone?" hangyeom whimpered.

"yes baby, it's gone, it was just a toy, there's no cockroaches I promise."

Hangyeom took a shaky breath of relief. He looked at sebin's kind face and fell forward into his arms hugging him tightly.

Sebin hugged back running his hand through hangyeom's hair.

"it's okay baby, you're okay now." He cooed softly as the other boys watched sadly.

Hangyeom sat still, his head leaning against sebin's chest.

"aish, I'm so pathetic aren't i? a grown man afraid of something as silly as a cockroach..."

"no baby, you have a phobia, you can't help that hangyeom-ah. It's not your fault you're afraid of something, don't say those things about yourself, you are not pathetic." Sebin quickly reassured him feeling better now that hangyeom was relaxed.

When he rose back up, sebin wiped his wet cheeks and smiled.

"you sure you're okay now?"

He nodded still feeling a little embarrassed.

Then the three boys who pranked him were instantly at his side.

"oh god hangyeom we are so so sorry! We...we would have never done it if we knew..." jaehan apologized as they all bowed their heads.

Hangyeom smiled softly.

"it's okay guys, you didn't know I forgive you."

They all rose up and tackled him in a hug.

When they broke apart they all left the room to make dinner and they made sure that none of them ever pulled an insect prank ever again.
