TRIGGER WARNING: Vomit
One of the worst feelings ever is waking up in the middle of the night soaked in sweat and feeling nauseous. Maki had gone to bed feeling completely fine. He didn't feel any bit sick when he went to sleep, but he stirred awake at 4 AM with an overwhelming heaviness in his chest.
He groaned, adjusting his vision to the dark room. His t-shirt and pillow were soaked in sweat, his jet black hair sticking to his forehead. He took a shaky breath noticing a tight queasiness in his stomach, a shakiness to his limbs as well.
He wasn't sure why his stomach felt so bad, he hadn't eaten anything out of the ordinary and he didn't have any symptoms the previous night.
He whined, laying his arm over his eyes.
He took a deep breath gently rubbing his belly trying to ease his discomfort. He couldn't be sick, not today. He had to get up early to appear on a radio show with the group, he had to feel better by then.
He slowly sat up deciding that a cool glass of water would be helpful. He slid out of his room and shuffled down the hall towards the kitchen, that nauseous pit still remaining in his stomach.
He grabbed a cup from the cabinet and filled it with water, taking slow sips as he made his way back to his room.
The water sat uncomfortably in his stomach, a low gurgle coming from the organ as maki laid back down.
He turned on his side, his arm wrapped around his middle as he forced himself back to sleep.
The alarm came far too soon. He blinked tiredly, sun beaming through his window.
He shut off his alarm and laid face-down on the bed for several minutes, having no energy to get up.
Just then, he heard knocking on his door.
"Maki! Are you up? We gotta leave soon!" EJ called through the door.
Maki groaned to himself.
"I'm up hyung, be out in a minute." he answered.
He forced himself to sit up, a gurgle emitting from his belly.
"Ah.." he winced, bringing his hand to his abdomen.
"Why hasn't this gone away?" he said to himself as he forced himself to his feet, lazily getting dressed and leaving his room to meet the others.
As he woke up more he felt even worse, a swirling feeling in the pit of his stomach. He grabbed a water bottle, skipping breakfast as the thought of food made him nauseous.
"Maki, you should eat something." K said gesturing to the table.
Maki had to swallow the pooling saliva in his mouth.
"No thanks, I'm not really hungry."
"Oh? Why not? Are you okay?" Fuma asked curiously.
"Yeah, just- not in the mood for breakfast, that's all."
Fuma nodded before continuing to eat his slice of toast.
Maki avoided the table and went to put on his shoes by the door. His stomach ached with cramps, that low gurgling continuing.
He burped silently into his fist before finishing tying his laces and standing back up.
"Alright, we gotta get to the radio show, everyone ready?" EJ said to the group.
They collectively nodded and began slipping on their shoes and jackets.
They piled into the van, maki in between Nicholas and Harua.
