It was time for yet another comeback from Xdinary heroes, and this time their concept was even more unique as it continued their music video story line.

The plan for this album was a futuristic theme with an experimental techno sound along with alternative rock style instrumentals. Besides branching out in terms of their sound, they were also going to get some pretty drastic changes to their looks, especially in the hair department.

The boys were ecstatic to explore new concepts and they loved it when their stylists surprised them with fun new hair dye colors and very expressive makeup looks.

Xdinary heroes all seemed to be willing to do just about anything with their looks, except maybe one person in the band.

Lee jooyeon was pretty much known for his signature long hair, it growing in length with every comeback they had. He had put pink streaks in it, blonde highlights, rainbow bangs, and even died his whole head an ashy silver.

He seemed pretty down for any change.

Until the word Haircut left the stylist's mouth.

It would have been different if she had just meant a slight trim, or maybe adding in some layers, or changing the shape of his bangs, but when she showed him the inspo pictures his chest got tight.

They wanted to chop nearly 10 inches of his locks and give him an undercut with most of the length swooped on top of his head, the back of his head trimmed completely. The stylist described it as a clean and sleek look.

While he understood the vision and agreed that the style would definitely look cool, he had a panicky feeling settling in his chest at the thought of them cutting his hair.

He had been growing it out for months, not allowing himself to cut it and letting the shiny locks reach well past his shoulders.

A part of him felt attached to his hair, like it was a crucial part of him and the key to his self-confidence, though he couldn't really explain to the others why his hair meant so much to him.

In fact, he felt he couldn't explain a lot of things about himself to the boys, and he had never felt he had to until they were standing in the hair salon and waiting patiently for their new looks.

Jooyeon stood stiff beside o.de, his hands clenched tightly at his sides as he watched gaon sit in the chair, the stylist taking some layering scissors and trimming his mop-like hair into a shaggy mullet, pieces curling against his neck, some side pieces hanging down the sides of his face, his bangs in a layered middle part, them ending just below his eyebrows. After the cut, his hair was bleached and then dyed a deep indigo with neon green tips on his bangs and the ends of his mullet.

The boys thought he looked so cool and were so excited to get their hair done as well.

Jooyeon was last in line as he was the youngest, and as the line of boys ahead of him got shorter and shorter, his anxiety levels got higher.

He was frustrated, why couldn't they just cut off a little bit? Why couldn't they just do a crazy color or add some texture? Did he really have to say goodbye to ten inches of his beloved locks?

Gunil sat down next, his hair transforming from his natural brown to a pastel lilac, his bangs trimmed to rest on his eyebrows, a zigzag slit cut into his right eyebrow.

Junhan went next, leaving the chair with bright red hair, a smooth fade on either side of his head, a lightening bolt shape shaved into the left side.

Jungsu's hair was kept long, half of his head jet black, the other half hot pink.
