Chapter 25

Another bat boy mission. Except a lot of injuries took an impact to the boys and the whole lot of them stayed home to recover from their exhaustion. This didn't go unnoticed to a certain miraculous crew out in Gotham. Heck the whole city saw how badly wounded their city's vigilantes had been on their last mission by the harbour. It was on the news caught by nearby warehouse security camera's. Marinette knew what it was like to be that depleted at a mission's end so she decided to do something special for the bat family and since they had all liked her baking last time. She thought she might stop by and drop a few sweet treats for them.

She has just finished decorating the last batch when she placed a video call to Damien. She waited a few moments until someone finally picked up.

Jason: hello

Marinette: hello Monsieur, is there any chance that Damien is around there somewhere I need to drop something of for him.

Jason: aww, so you are the cute blueberry girl Grayson been talking about.

Marinette: I suppose...

Jason: sorry you got partnered up with Demon Spawn
Hope he is not causing to much trouble with you.

Marinette: oh not at all Monsieur. He is quite alright actually. Grumpy but okay.

Jason: grumpy huh? (Smirks) I am liking you already.

Damien: Todd why do you have my phone?

Jason looks up to reply “oh, I am just chatting it up with your secret girlfriend here. You guys where right she is cute” Marinette blushes at this and Damien snatches the phone from Jason after a bit more of bickering between the two.

Damien: sorry about that Habitti. It appears privacy is not something that is passed around under this roof.

Marinette: Habitti?

Damien face tints a slight pink at the notice to the nickname he had just given her. Marinette notice this and changes the topic.

Marinette: any way I have a delivery for you boys.

Damien: let me guess more of your heavenly baked goods as Tim likes to refer to it as.

Marinette: (giggles) yup, I added some more treats to it as well. I thought you guys may need a pick me up after your last mission which was viewed on Tv by the way.

Damien: Ahh, I see. Very well I will send Alfred to come with me to pick up the package plus I'll have a chance to finish the project with you then at your place.

Marinette: do you ever take a break. I mean I did see get shot in your superhero form on live TV just yesterday right or do you not know what recovery is. Be aware of this if I see you at school on Monday i will knock you out and drag you back home to get some well needed rest.

Damien: I will be fine. Plus who is going to get any rest with these idiots in the same house making such a racket.

Marinette: if you'd like you can come stay over here. We have plenty of guest rooms and it is almost always quite around here.

Damien: thank you for the option Habitti, I might take you up on that offer. Now for the project.

Marinette: we can finish it another day. It's due to be handed in four weeks time.

Damien: (sighs) fine but I will come by with Alfred. Any excuse to leave the Manor would be great right now.

Marinette: okay I will be waiting. See you soon. Good bye Damien.

Damien: good bye Marinette.

When the call finally ended and Damien finally looked up he saw almost his whole family staring at him like he just grew another head. He internally groaned at the annoyance to come.

Tim: did Demon Spawn just talk to a girl and smile about it.

Seline: even gave her a nickname

Dick: same girl from before. (Smirks) Just a partner huh?

Jason: she is cute. Even called you grumpy.

Bruce: when do we get to meet the girl? Damien

Bat boys and Seline: huh, ya we want to meet her to.

Damien groans out “ I am leaving” and as he walks out he hears the rest of his family screaming out to him to bring the girl over to meet them. Then he hears his father say “ since she already appears to know about our vigilantes forms. You may as well invite her over to have dinner with us”

Damien: fine I will ask. (And with that being said he walked out and headed of with Alfred before anymore could be said. The boys still in shock from what they saw.)

Jason: I think Demon Spawn got himself a girl.

Tim: I think the coffee is getting to me.

Dick: aww, little D finally growing up.

Seline: baby bird got a girlfriend. I am happy for him.

Dick: just hope It doesn't end up like how it went with Raven.

At Marinette place. She stands in the kitchen wondering what “Habitti” means and Tikki floating nearby stiffle a giggle because of course the little kwarmi knows many languages and she understands Damian new nickname.
