Donghyuck cries his eyes out in the school bathroom. He can't believe any of this. He can't believe how cruel Jaemin got. The audacity to speak to him like that, after all the things he has done. After all the damage he caused his heart. His nightmares feel like they've become reality.

His head feels dizzy from all the crying. He needs to get a hold of himself. What if the principal finds out that Donghyuck didn't do his tasks? He will not let Jaemin get the position all to himself. Knowing how cruel Jaemin got he might rat him out.

He quickly dries his eyes and washes his face with water. He catches his breath again and leaves the bathroom. He is anxious and tired. He cried for an hour straight. But somehow he feels relieved from all of the tension. 

He wants to be in Mark's arms. He knows the older boy will make him feel better. But first, he needs to finish his tasks. Jaemin won't get into his head anymore.

He opens the door to the office and his relief Jaemin isn't there.

There is a note on the discussion table where Donghyuck previously sat though.

It read: "Pick whatever task you want, I'll just do the rest. - n.jm"

He scoffs. The next few months will be hell.

He takes the paper and looks through the tasks they have to do.

He chooses to do the paperwork, Jaemin could do the whole organization work.

So for the next hour, he is occupied with work. He eventually finishes the paperwork and asks himself if he should do Jaemin's tasks too since they were due tomorrow and he still didn't show up. 

Donghyuck sighs, he will go to the grocery store to buy some things for their refrigerator. Besides, he wants to take his mind off for some time anyway. If Jaemin isn't here by the time he comes back he would have to do his tasks. 

He takes a long walk along the Han River, trying to calm his mind. It's a rough day. 

He calls Jeno, after reading his panicked messages because of the announcement in school earlier. They talk for quite a while and Donghyuck spills what happened and how much it bothers him that Jaemin treats him this poorly, even though he was the one that broke his heart. Jeno doesn't seem to understand why Jaemin behaves like that either. He comforts him well enough though, he feels way better after their phone call.

His next stop before going back to school is the grocery store.

He puts a few cans of coke zero in the cart, knowing well that Jaemin used to love it. He doesn't know why he even considers buying his favorite drink, the boy just broke his heart all over again. He sighs, they need to be able to cooperate if they want to keep their position.

He gets some snacks and his favorite drinks too.

He pays and heads back to school. He hopes that Jaemin wouldn't be there. He has no problem with doing all of the work. 

He opens the door to their office and to his surprise Jaemin sits at his desk. He looks up and quickly looks away. 

Donghyuck steps inside and puts all of the groceries in the refrigerator. He takes a can of coke and debates if he should give it to Jaemin. But Jaemin was so rude earlier. He sighs and puts it in the refrigerator again. 

Instead of giving it to him, he writes a note that reads "there is coke zero in the refrigerator for you" and sticks it on the discussion table.

He is kind of glad that Jaemin takes his job seriously. Donghyuck decides to start with another assignment he has for physics. So both of the boys do their work quietly, not even noticing each other's presence after some time.
