Donghyuck had perfect attendance all year, but today he feels sick to his stomach.
Not because he was sick but rather to avoid crossing ways with a certain person in school.

The only thing that got him out of the door was the thought of seeing Mark.
He has been daydreaming about him since the day they had their little talk.
Donghyuck feels so giddy inside.

As he opens his door, Donghyuck's eyes land on a black SUV. Mark's SUV.
The boy in the car was already waiting for him, smiling at him warmly and waving for him to come inside.

He does as he's told. Donghyuck opens the car door and seats himself next to Mark.

"Hey, you didn't have to pick me up", he said gratefully.
"But Hyuckie I wanted to, I don't like it when you walk all the way there."

He smirks and adds, "and I just really like to see you all the time".

He blushes, did Mark have to be so blunt in the morning?

The car ride is rather smooth, they listen to Donghyuck's music and talk about their upcoming classes. Both of them have their midterms in a month and Donghyuck feels bad because he only started to study yesterday.

"I didn't know you studied that much, don't you ever take a rest?" Mark asks.

Mark already knows about Donghyuck's reputation to ace all of his classes.

"Well, I do but even when I rest I try to do something useful. Procrastinating makes me feel so unproductive and bad."

"What, that is so unlike the old Hyuck, you used to push your assignments to the day they were due. You'd procrastinate while procrastinating! I'm so proud of you. You've grown so much, Hyuck", Mark says and stops the car in front of their school.

"You're amazing."

He looks him in the eyes and sees that the boy he likes blushes to the max.

Donghyuck feels so warm and appreciated.

"I have to go to class", Hyuck says quickly, wanting to avoid any further interaction with Mark.
But Mark has other plans.

"I'll walk you there"

Donghyuck feels so happy, he just finished his first block of classes and he smiled through all of them. He caught himself almost daydreaming about Mark again.

"What are you so happy about?", Jeno asks his best friend that has been smiling all morning.

Jeno knows Donghyuck was hiding something from him.

"It's.. Mark.", Donghyuck says with red cheeks.

"What?"

Jeno knew it was something about another boy but Mark? After the heartbreak Donghyuck had gone through he doesn't find a liking in Mark. It's as if it was yesterday that Donghyuck cried in his arms because both, his lover and his best friend, left him.

"Yea, I might be catching feelings Jen, and I know how you feel about this", Hyuck starts, chewing at his bottom lip.

"But he's a changed man, I promise."

By the time his last lesson ended, Mark is already standing in front of Donghyuck's class, waiting for the latter to come out. People start rushing out of the door the minute the bell rang, Donghyuck being the last to come out of the class. He sees Mark leaning against the wall and his heart skips a beat. He really went out of his way just to see Donghyuck after class.

"Hey", Mark greets him as he steps closer to Donghyuck.

"What are you doing here Mark? You could've been home by now", he says, looking to the side. He felt his blood pumping.

"I wanted to drive you home, Hyuckie, and ask you if you had any plans for the evening?"

His heart jumps, Mark made him feel so warm.

"Oh", he splurts out. "I mean, I always have time for you.", he says a little bolder.

Now Mark is the one to hide his flushed cheeks.

They decide to go to the movies. Donghyuck liked to have a little cool off day before all the weeks of studying that was coming up. After that, he would focus on his exams and he wishes that a certain boy would accompany his study sessions.

And they had so much fun, they watched Shang Chi, a new Marvel movie.

Both of them couldn't keep their hands off each other, they were cuddling the whole time. Donghyuck even kissed Mark's cheeks and he was so glad that the cinema was dark because his cheeks were glowing.
