"oh my god, Donghyuck, what is this!", a loud scream wakes both, Mark and Donghyuck, up.

Donghyuck looks out of it but he quickly realizes what's wrong.

There are his brother and his brother's boyfriend.

And then there's Donghyuck, in Mark's arms.

How they managed to get into this position? Donghyuck remembers being cold and mistaking Mark for Baekhyun. But in reality, Donghyuck knew that Baekhyun wasn't with him. He was all aware of asking Mark to cuddle with him. He just pushes it in the back of his mind, he doesn't want to deal with what sleepy-Donghyuck caused.

But for now, he doesn't know how to deal with his brother. How should he explain this, this mess?

"It's not what it looks like!"

Oh, and how he wishes it was, but he pushes the thought away. He doesn't like his former best friend, right?

"What is it then?", his brother eyes him and he must be furious.

"We are just, just coping!", he says, ears turning red.

"It better be, what do you have to say in your defense?", Baekhyun eyes Mark now.

Mark gulps and looks everywhere but Baekhyun's eyes. Mark doesn't know what to answer, his brain still won't process how they both woke up like that.

"H-he's right, sir", he stutters and hears muffled laughter.

They are laughing, Baekhyun and Chanyeol are laughing.

Mark and Donghyuck look at each other and the latter gets away from Mark. He needs distance, he needs closure.

"Anyways, I hope you both know what you're getting into, I still want to talk to you Hyuck", Baekhyun's gaze turns dark.

Donghyuck gulps, he knows that his brother isn't a fan of Mark.
Nevertheless, his brother knows what all of this Drama back in the day caused in Donghyuck.

Donghyuck should also be aware of what he went through because of their actions.
But Donghyuck didn't seem to care.

It's been a day since Baekhyun caused a scene. They also talked about what happened.

It didn't go quite well if you'd ask Donghyuck. His brother is disappointed in him, and he just doesn't know better than to blame himself as well.

They didn't talk for too long, all Baekhyun said was, that he didn't think Donghyuck would be that irresponsible and naive.

He also made clear, crystal clear, that Donghyuck won't find a safe place in his brother anymore if he ends up getting his heart broken again.

And here he is, laying in his bed with teary eyes.

His alarm goes on for the first time, Donghyuck hasn't slept at all.

He couldn't sleep, whenever he closed his eyes he just saw Baekhyun turning his back on him and Mark joining him.
But not only Mark.
Every time he closes his eyes, the one that broke his heart appears next to him.

And it's just sad that it's the reality.
Both of them hurt him together, he's just reminded of what could occur again, for a second time.

Donghyuck stands up and looks into the mirror, he looks dead.
His eye bags are darker than ever, his whole face is puffy from all the crying. His eyes are reddish.

He looks like back then.
Back then, the first months after his heart was shattered.

And he wants to cry again, he doesn't want to think about his past, he doesn't want any of it.

He lets himself breathe for a second, he knows that he can do it.
He'll suck it up, like always.

With that, he goes into the shower.
But crying in the shower, is that any better?

He's having half of a mental breakdown in his shower, he's just hurt and sensitive.

As he steps out of the shower, he feels slightly better. His emotions aren't as overwhelming as they used to be before. He's able to breathe.

He looks at his phone and sees a few messages from his friend group.

They're talking about the new boy that should've attended school from last week on, but didn't.
They're making so many conspiracy theories about it, Donghyuck just rolls his eyes whilst typing a dry "haha".

He then continues his archaic morning routine.

Furthermore, he sits down at the already prepared dining table and pours himself his favorite cereals, Froot Loops.
He tiredly munches on his food and watches his brother rush down the staircase.

Baekhyun quickly turns to Donghyuck and steals his bowl of cereals.
"Are you for real?" Donghyuck asks him as it comes to the realization that there is no heavy bowl in his hands anymore.
"and what about it?" his brother says, mouth full of the colorful fruity rings.

It's as if everything turned back to normal, the same teasing from his brother, the same breakfast scenario.

As always, right?
