I already miss my best friend...I was hoping for the four of us to defeat evil together, but I do understand why they had to step away. This life was too dangerous for a baby to be involved with. Their baby has their powers combined as well, so their baby and their future babies need as much protection as they can get. It's only been a month and I'm proud of Liam and I. We had missions and we didn't feel the need to send our little minion to get our friends. Harry would call me every other day and I'm grateful for that.
There was nothing that I wouldn't tell my friend. He is my best friend and we both are involved in this shit no matter what we decide to do. He also looks over us while we are on missions. Even though he doesn't want to fight with us, he still wants to protect me. Liam too, obviously. Also, I would feel like a major asshole if I were to hide something from him or lie about where I am and what I'm doing.
"Niall, Liam. I need the two of you to come and see me as soon as possible." Lou calls over the intercom and I look at Liam. "Another mission? We just completed one yesterday," I said to Liam as he jumps up from doing push-ups. "You know the life of being heroes isn't easy, and you know that there isn't an exact schedule for something like this. Let's go see what this one is about though," he advised and I take him on that. We walk to the main office that was turned into Lou's temporary office as Brooke is taking her break from all of this.
"How is training going?" She asks as we stepped in. "Really boring since I don't have my friend around," I spoke truthfully and Lou understood. I always want to her whenever I was missing Harry and Liam isn't around. Yeah we have that place around them, but we rarely ever go home. Like Liam said, being a hero is a whole different life. If anything, we just go back to our temporary home that Lou offered to us. We are just so tired after we are done with a mission that we never feel like driving out to get to our apartment.
"I understand, but I guess that you can distract yourself by doing this rather big mission. There has been many death's occuring in the US and it's confirmed that there is a group that has been doing these murders. What's strange about these murders is that each person is missing a body part or an organ. We believe that they are taking these parts to their leader of some kind. We don't have a hint as to who this leader is, but all that we can do is send you in the general area that this is occuring at. Are the two of you up for this?" She asked and I looked at Liam.
"Does Harry already know about this?" I asked and Lou shakes her head no. "And he can't know about this. The only people that know about this is us. Harry has a child and I can't have them taking part of something so dangerous. Especially when there is a chance of this taking his life. He hasn't been training. You two have been doing that constantly. Harry will probably ask about it, but you can't tell him. It's a deep secret that we can't necessarily let out."
"Doesn't the world know about this?" "No. We just mask it the best way possible. Like I said, the only people that know is us and we aren't going to change that, right?" I looked at Liam again. He looks at me and he gives me a look of comfort. "It'll be okay baby, we can just rely on each other for right now." "It's not that. I tell Harry everything Liam. How the hell am I supposed to hide this from him? Especially when he asks what I'm up to? I am an awful liar, and he can tell if I'm lying or not," I whined and he rubbed my back softly.
Liam didn't say anything back after I said that. I guess he knew that I was right. One of Harry's powers enabled his ability to tell if one is lying or not. What's also something that I don't understand is why I can't tell Harry about this big mission. He doesn't need a lot of training to help us out whenever we need it. He has mind powers and yeah, he has a few that he has to be physical about, but the majority has to deal with his mind.
"Harry doesn't even need training. We have these guys for a reason. If we need Harry or Louis at any point, then we are free to send them to the two of them. Why not tell them about what we are about to do? Like I don't get it. If anything, let Louis know about it. I get that you want to protect Jay, but for her safety, they should do it all to protect her, you know what I mean?" "Niall-" "No! I tell Harry everything! He is my best friend and he has every right to know about what's going on in my life right now. I can't lie to him, and him not training has nothing to do with any of this, am I right?"
