Knockout laid on his berth, throwing a dagger into the air. It spun around, the cherry-red Velocitronian catching it by its handle, then repeating the action. It was a weapon from his homeworld -- the blade was sunset-orange with the Velocitronian symbol for "beauty," though it was hidden behind its sheath of the same color, and the handle was maroon. He caught the dagger again, this time catching it by its blade, servo protected from the sharpness of the blade. He didn't throw it into the air again, this time bringing it close to his faceplates. He had returned from a patrol -- which was just his cover for going off to Kaon and giving Megatron intel. He was told about a new mission from the Decepticon leader himself, which he wasn't expecting so soon. He wasn't exactly respected among the Decepticons, and he expected the same treatment from the warlord.
"You're to kill Optimus." Megatron told him, "He is in the way of my plans, and Decepticon glory."
Knockout didn't know how the new Autobot would get in their way, and he didn't ask. He would get the mission done, and he'd finally be a true Decepticon. He flinched when he heard the cabin door slide open, calming stuffing the dagger away in his supspace. Chromia was at the door, scrolling through a datapad nonchalantly. She looked up and blinked, seeing the cherry-red Autobot looking back at her.
"Hey, Chrome." He greeted casually, sending a quick wave to the commander.
"Hello, Knockout." Chromia responded, looking back at the datapad and walking into the room, "I also told you to not use that nickname."
"Ah, sorry." He said, chuckling.
The light blue Autobot walked to her own berth, laying down with her back against the wall and knees up to rest the datapad comfortably on her legs. She continued to scroll through, a small smile on her dermaplates. Knockout sat up from his berth, stretching his arms over his helm and flexing his digits like a Cybercat. He sighed dramatically afterward, gaining a look from the lieutenant. She rolled her optics, looking back at the datapad.
"Don't be so dramatic, Knockout. Patrol wasn't that bad." She said jokingly.
"Oh, it was horrible." The other said, partly lying, "I was dying of boredom!"
"I can't believe you're a Velocitronian." Chromia muttered, though it was loud enough for the other to hear.
The cherry-red Autobot's helm snapped to the light blue Camian, feigning offense.
"How dare you!" He gasped.
Chromia gave a small giggle. She set the datapad down on the desk next to the berth, then scooted down to lay on her back. She placed her servos behind her helm, and shuddered her optics. Knockout smirked after his joke, laying down again.
"You're up next for training, y'know." The Camian said, "Guardian insisted."
"Really?" He asked.
Chromia hummed, confirming what she said. The cherry-red Autobot sighed, shuddering his optics and lifting a servo to his face. They stayed silent a little longer.
"When?" He asked.
"Uhm, fifteen cycles." She replied.
Knockout groaned, sitting up and onlining his optics. He stood from his berth, said a hasty goodbye to his bunkmate, and then rushed out of the cabin. He leaned against the wall outside of the room, bumping his helm against the wall and sighing.
You're to kill Optimus. He is in the way of my plans, and Decepticon glory.
All he knew how to execute this operation was to find Optimus after he was done training, lure him to an isolated room in the building, and stab him. Simple, and (hopefully) clean. It wouldn't matter if anyone knew he did it, because he would be long gone. He nodded at his plan, and started walking to the elevator. Once he went up to the top floor, he stepped into one of the few training rooms. He looked through the opening into each room to find Guardian, stopping at one towards the back Shen he did. He was talking with a few other Autobots inside, one of which being Optimus. Knockout was slightly surprised upon seeing the red and blue Autobot, but he kept his normal outside demeanor.
