Chapter 30

*Next morning*
Rafe POV:
Last night i couldn't sleep i was tossing and turning all night that people know Lily is now "missing" and I'm the one who is responsible for it.
Y/n i trust her but i feel bad i got her into this mess as this was all an accident.
I message y/n to see how she is holding up and she said she is fine but i know y/n she isn't but i wanted to give her space.
I get my gym clothes on and walks to the gym to work out as it helps with my problems, i put my AirPods in and listens to some music to calm me down.

Y/n POV:
I wake up from an awful sleep and gets ready for work and I'm working with JJ today but i feel sorry for him as its one of his ex's so i don't know if he is bothered or not but i cant change the past now ad i blame rafe, I love rafe but this is big and i have a gut feeling he is going to get caught.

Rafe messages me and i reply with I'm fine then heads to work, Topper takes me to work and then heads to Rafe's to workout.
I walk into work and see JJ but i couldn't read his face, he was smiling but that kept changing so I approach him "JJ hi" i say smiling "y/n hi you okay?" He says "I'm good and how are you?" I say nervous for his answer "just shocked about the news really but i cant do anything she hurt me in the past, us in the past so i don't really feel anything!" He says as we are walking to the kitchen to collect food.

I didn't really know what to say so i didn't say anything back to him and i took the food out.

This shift was stressful with how busy it were and i still have got 1 hour to go and i can't wait to get home. Then on the news i hear "Rafe Cameron a suspect of the disappearance of Lily Winters!" I froze and all eyes were on me but i had to act clueless and i hated it but my gut was right about him getting caught and now I'm scared for what is going to happen next.

JJ walks up to me "you know about this?" He says whilst grabbing my wrist "no JJ I didn't now let go of me" i say angrily but i hated the fact i lied to him.

The hour went so fast and i get my phone back and Rafe is spamming me with messages asking for I'm okay, if i heard the news and that he is scared i told him I'm fine and yes i heard the news and i felt bad for him. Topper picks me up and wants me to stay away from Rafe Cameron and that the police are out searching for him and he hasn't been since for an hour in OBX.

I arrive home and goes straight upstairs and i open my door and see the 6'4 dirty blonde standing near my bed, i close the door behind me and he tells me to be quite "Rafe what you doing here?" I say whisper "we are running away me and you far away" he says with one of my bags in his hands. I didn't really want to as i love OBX and this is my home and well its Rafe's mess but I didn't want to argue with him so i get out of my work clothes and changes to some leggings and a hoodie and some vans and then we climb out of my window and quickly heads to Rafe's getaway car hidden in a spot in the middle of no where.

We get in and Rafe puts on a disguises and tells me to act normal if any police come but i was scared for the both of us.
We have been driving for ages and ended up in Charleston early morning and Rafe takes off his disguise and we stay in a hotel. Rafe and i both fall asleep straight away for a good few hours.

I wake up and turns the TV on and the news is on saying that someone has spotted Rafe in Charleston i turn it off and panicked then i hear a knock on the door...
