CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
ANONG oras na kami nakatulog kagabi kaya hirap na hirap kaming gumising ngayong umaga.
Last night, I was on the verge of crying a river. But luckily, I have these two idiots who calmed me down. They cuddled me and told me that I am not a mistake. I am so thankful to have them behind me in every fight.
Today, we raised early despite the magnetic pull of the bed. Three different maids came to our room and ushered us to the next room where they will prep us for today's event. Ngayon ang simula ng Novelty Festival. The Piazza de Centralia will be filled with audiences from the different parts of the Central District. There will be a program there and of course, our said appearance on the feast.
Pinasuot ako ng puting t-shirt tapos kulay brown na coat at slacks. The shirt was tucked into the slacks and they partnered it with a white peep toe. I look like a business woman in this fits. They braided my hair into two and put some colour to my face without overdoing it.
Mafi wears a pink blouse with a black coat partnered with a grey short skirt. They made her wear a white long socks and a black ankle boots. While Felicity here wears a blue blouse with a red ribbon on the collar and a red pencil cut skirt. Her shoes were moccasin. Her beautiful hair were tied on a ponytail. Ang ganda no'ng buhok niya kasi makapal tapos bagsak na bagsak.
Pagkatapos ng mahaba-mahabang paghahanda, inihatid kami ng mga maids papunta sa dining hall. Nandoon na at nakaupo ang tatlong lalaking kasama namin. All of them are looking great with their suits. Shin's wearing a blue suit with a tie while Gio wears a white long sleeves polo that is folded into three-fourths and white jeans. Kingston is wearing a white suit with a white shirt inside of it.
Shin was the only one who greeted us a good morning and only Mafi returned the greeting. Para bang may clash sa pagitan ng mga babae at lalaki at hindi kami nagpapansinan. We ate in a very awkward atmosphere. I didn't threw Kingston a glance even if he's sitting right in front of me and just focused on the foods on my plate. Pero dahil sa sobrang pagka-bitter ko, pati ang bacon at gatas ay mapait na.
When in the middle of the silent breakfast, I felt Kingston gently kicked my foot. Ano na naman ba? Wala akong ganang makipagsagutan sa kaniya kaya hindi ko siya pinansin. I heard him sighed and put his utensils down.
"Can you look at me? I want to see your eyes," he calmly said. Napahinto silang lahat sa pagkain. Maging ako ay napatigil din.
"Look, I'm sorry about last night. I'm just so worried about you and I didn't mean to say those harsh words. Nadala lang ako ng galit," he said. I slowly raised my gaze to meet his. I was stunned when his pale green orbs pierced into my soul. That was a mistake; to look at him in the eye.
"I am in no place to get mad at you," I simply said and resumed my meal. Sana makuha niya kung anong ibig kong sabihin. Kahit anong gawin o sabihin niya sa akin, hindi ko kayang magalit sa kaniya. Why do I feel this way? Like I don't really have the rights to be mad at him at all.
"Can you stop being so cold to me?" He said that made me halt once again. Ugh! I hate how my heart starts to beat so fast with just one question from him. Napabuntong-hininga ako at muli siyang tinignan.
"I'm sorry for being a brat and being impulsive and childish. I'm sorry if I am stupid and not thinking all the time. I apologise for worrying you and thank you for being a good brother to me," I said without any emotion on my face.
