CHAPTER SIXTEEN
BAKIT ba pinag-aagawan ako palagi? Pwede namang si Gio ang piliin niyang kaduwelo kasi sila naman 'yong may parehong lakas. Bakit ako? Halata namang hindi ako mananalo sa kaniya. Sa ability pa lang namin, wala na akong palag eh.
"Who would go first?" Mr. Wilson asked. Shin and Felicity were partners while Gio and Mafi got no choice. Nagkakatinginan kaming anim kung sinong mauuna. In the end, Felicity volunteered.
"Please save me from her wrath," kinakabahang sabi ni Shin habang naglalakad papunta sa gitna ng training room. I chuckled at him. Siya 'yong lalaki tapos siya pa 'yong takot.
"Let's see who'll win," Felicity taunted. I could see confidence slipping out of her lips in a curve shape.
"Yeah, let's see," sagot ni Shin. Gone was the shakiness of his voice. Felicity was the first to lunge. But bro, as if on cue, Shin swiftly dodged the blow and smacked his opponent on her back. Agad namang nakabawi si Felicity.
"Shin have some advantage because of his ability," Mafi commented. Oo nga naman. Kaya niyang basahin kung ano ang susunod na galaw ng kalaban. He will surely win this duel.
Felicity keeps thrashing but always misses. She grunted when her fist smashed the wall. Woaw! Parang naramdaman ko ang sakit no'n ah. Ang lakas no'ng tunog. I think she broke her knuckles. But she didn't even winced and went lunging again to Shin. But Shin easily deflects Felicity's attacks. Ang tagal na puro gano'n ang nangyayari hanggang sa napatid si Shin. Felicity grabbed that opportunity and lunged at him and both fell on the ground.
"You're dead," she whispered with a smirk. Dinaganan niya si Shin at sinimulang pagsusuntukin. Mukhang galit na galit siya dahil hindi niya mahuli-huli ang kalaban kanina pa. Now is her chance to show how annoyed she is. But bro, Shin got the better of her. Itinulak niya lang nang isang beses si Felicity at siya na ngayon ang nasa ibabaw. He tried to grab her hand and do the arm bar. Felicity grunted in pain when her hand was being pulled out of her body in a dislocated form.
"That hurts," Mafi murmured.
"She better do something before Shin breaks her arm," I answered, panicking. Boto ko si Felicity eh.
And like what I expected, she kicked him. Pero ni hindi man lang umabot. So ang ginawa niya, isinipa niya na lang ang paa niya para makagulong. And she succeeded. But Shin didn't let go of her hand. So again, she tried to kick him and her foot finally reached his face. The kick sent him a few steps away. Masama nilang tinignan ang isa't isa. Oh no, they are not playing anymore.
Felicity thrashed once again, hitting Shin on the gut. He stumbled for a second. But Felicity would not just let him get back to his stability and was about to kick him again. But this time, Shin caught her leg. Hinila niya iyon at niyakap ang bewang ni Felicity. Binuhat niya ito at ibinagsak nang malakas sa sahig. I gasped together with Mafi. That surely hurts because Felicity recoiled on the ground.
Shin didn't let Felicity heal her injuries and gave her a very strong blow on the face. Now, he's learning from his past experiences. Sinakal niya si Felicity gamit ang isang kamay niya habang ang isa niya namang kamay ay nakahawak sa dalawang kamay ni Felicity. He's pinning her hands up on her head as he tried to strangle her.
"Tap out na kasi," nakangising sabi ni Shin. Felicity, despite the difficulty in breathing, managed to give him a glare. Awit! Mukhang talo 'yong manok ko ha.
But I almost stood when Shin slowly loosened his grip on her. What's happening? Nawalan na ba ng hininga si Felicity? I could still hear her beating heart though. My eyes widen when Felicity gave Shin a headbutt that sent him backwards. I smiled when Felicity stood and gave him a really hard blow in the face that sent him lying on the floor, unable to stand up again.
