CHAPTER FORTY
AGAD naging alerto ang lalaki. Inilabas na niya ang kaniyang armas. It's a long sword; even longer than Felicity's.
Felicity arrogantly warmed up by stretching her arms and neck when she faced the enemy. She must have been waiting for this all along. This is why she's here; to show how good she is in a battlefield.
"Are you ready?" She boastfully asked. Walang sabi-sabi namang sumugod ang lalaki. He tried to stab her with his long ass weapon. But knowing Felicity's reflexes, she easily dodged the blow.
"Do it faster," pang-aasar niya. Hindi ko pa rin malinaw na nakikita ang chip sa likod no'ng lalaki. I had zoomed in the lens but I already reached the max. The guy tried to stab Felicity again which she dodged again.
"Still too slow," she teased. She's so annoying. If I'm her opponent, I would go berserk. At mukhang iyon nga ang nararamdaman ng kalaban niya dahil muli niyang sinubukang tamaan si Felicity. This time, he used some combo but still to no avail. Felicity just swiftly dodged him expertly.
Dahil nga sa hindi ko masyadong nakikita ang target ko, naglakad ako palapit sa kanila at nagtago sa likod ng isang puno. Mukha namang nag-eenjoy ang kasama ko sa pakikipaglaro sa kawawang lalaki. He must have been the prey in this situation.
He didn't stopped attacking my friend using his own sword. Felicity just dodged his attacks until she got peeved by it and finally used her weapon. She blocks the blade of the guy with her gigantic weapon and the guy immediately stepped back. Naiinip na ako. Bakit ba ayaw niyang tumalikod mula sa akin?
Napakunot ang noo ko nang maglaho ang lalaki. Invisibility, eh? Tss. I could still hear him. But Felicity can't so she became more aware of her surroundings.
Napakapit ako sa sniper ko nang marinig ang biglaang paggalaw no'ng lalaki. Muli siyang sumugod kay Felicity pero agad namang nasangga nang huli ang espada gamit ang kaniyang sariling armas. The guy became visible again, grunting in frustration. He must have lost it, especially now that Felicity is still smirking at him.
"Better luck next time," she bragged. Lalo namang nagalit ang lalaki at muli siyang naglaho. They were in a middle of a heated duel when I heard someone coming in the midst of the clinking of their weapons. My eyes widen when I heard a swooshing sound of an arrow.
I stepped out of my hiding spot behind a tree and pulled the trigger. My bullet hit the arrow's tip and it changed its trajectory. Nagulat naman ang dalawang naglalaban at napahinto sandali. I took that chance to hit the guy's leg. He groaned in pain.
"Onyx! He's mine!" Felicity shouted. Fine. Tss, andamot.
Narinig ko ang sunod-sunod na pagkawala ng pana kaya muli akong pumorma para tamaan ang mga iyon. I took down two of the arrows but the other one paved its way towards Felicity. Luckily though, Felicity's enemy tried to stab her at the same time so she dodged it, also dodging the arrow.
Sumilip ako sa lens para makita kung sino ba 'yong namamana. Pahirap sa buhay 'tong mga archers na 'to. It's a guy too but I can't clearly see his face because of the distance and darkness. All I could make out is his bow.
Felicity finally eliminated the guy he's dueling with. Masaya niyang pinunasan ang dugo mula sa kaniyang espada. Maglalakad na sana siya pabalik sa kinaroroonan ko nang muling nagpaulan ng pana ang kalaban. I tried to deflect them by shooting them down but my AWP can't handle simultaneous shots. I could only deflect a few.
My eyes widen when an arrow escaped my bullets and went straight to Felicity's shoulder. She gasped and groaned.
"Felicity!" I shrieked. I was about to run to her when I heard I another batch of incoming arrows. Hell!
