CHAPTER FIFTEEN
FELICITY stormed inside my room while I'm choosing a good dress for the dinner. He brought food for me in the afternoon which I gladly took.
"What the hell? Don't you know how to knock?" Irita kong tanong. Gone was the dramatic brat yesterday night and the Onyx with her blatant tongue is back, fiercer than ever.
"Well, you did that last time and forced me to spill the beans while I'm brushing my hair," irap niya. Tss, she's still rude, tho. I returned to what I am doing and just let her sat on my bed. I was writing on my journal the whole day and I wasn't able to attend the training. I could hear them cautiously talking about me. They are so worried cause I haven't ate anything since yesterday afternoon.
After a long silent and awkward moment, she finally said something.
"Are you alright?" She asked, concern is evident on her tone. Himala, nakalimutan niya atang magmaldita ngayon. I decided to turn around and face her with a smug.
"Are you worried about me?" I asked with a mischievous grin etched on my face.
"Who wouldn't? You haven't ate anything since yesterday. You locked yourself inside your room and cried so loud that you disturbed all the birds on the forest nearby," she retorted with a much more annoyed tone. My grin became wider.
"Oh, so concern ka nga?" I laughed at her exasperation. Woaw! After almost a day of wailing, I can finally laugh again. Yay me!
"You know that you owe me something, don't you?" She said before raising to her feet.
"Well, yeah. But I don't wanna say cheesy things because I might puke. But yeah, I appreciate your effort," I honestly answered. Gone was the playful grin on my face and was replaced by a sincere smile. Her face lighten up by what I've said.
"I think it's time to let go of our childish rivalry. What you think?" She asked. I chuckled at it. It's like she's indirectly asking me to befriend her.
"I promise not to kick you out of your seat," I kidded. Pareho pa kaming natawa.
"I can't promise not to mock you," she retorted.
"Okay. But expect me to burn you at every turn." We laughed in unison. Maybe this is our love language; threatening each other.
"Friends?" She asked. I gave her my sweetest smile ever, which I've only shown to Mafi.
"Friends." We ended up hugging each other like sisters. She might be the most maldita girl in the whole Mesita, but duh! No one was born evil. She was maybe a lovely girl before life made her who she is right now. Or maybe her ugly attitude is innate. Who knows?
"Come on, let's fix you up for dinner." She was the first to break the hug.
